He has scored 65 goals in 127 matches for Real Valladolid with 11 this season in the league.
That is better than all of our current strikers this season.
Different leagues. Not to say he won't be a success.
Why is he allowed to leave his current club though?
His contract runs out in the summer so they may want to get money for him now rather than let him go for free in the summer.
He has been first choice striker for Valladolid since he signed for them in the summer of 2010.
11 goals in 21 matches so far this season for a struggling side in La Liga is a good return.
You know more of him than me. Did they offer him a new contract and he refused or something then?
Lewis Holtby is set to sign for Fulham.
He said in November that he would wait to see what offers he gets from other clubs and what Valladolid offer him before deciding on what to do.
Not gonna happen anyway Josh...
@chrislepkowski: @Alex69Jones Won't be happening in any case Alex. WBA were alerted to him by reps but not interested it would seem
That's a shame if true. He is an experienced goal scorer that we lack.
Palace could be busy.
Tom Ince, Scott Dann and Joe Ledley all set to sign.
West Bromwich Albion striker Markus Rosenberg could be about to see the end of his unhappy spell at The Hawthorns.
Swedish website www.fotbollskanalen.se reports that Malmö are closing in on his signature.
The striker who has been with the Baggies for 18 months and still has 18 months to run on his contract, is being offered a three-year deal at Malmo, fotbollskanalen claims.
Rosenberg's time at Albion has been unsuccessful. He has made six Premier League starts and a further 22 appearances as a substitute - but has yet to score.
West Brom signed the Sweden international on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 after his contract with German club Werder Bremen expired.
Malmo have recently had a change of coaching staff, with the previous regime also expressing an interest in the player in the summer.
The biggest stumbling block has been his £35,000-a-week wages.
@StevenWBA: Aside from Rosenberg, all quiet thus far from the #wba camp. No doubt they're trying, just a matter of whether something drops nicely or not
@StevenWBA: Some real negative responses coming my way regarding #wba transfer situation. Not surprised, really. But lets analyse once 23:00 comes along
@StevenWBA: Albion renound for being strict & rigid to their policies. That's just the way they work and I don't forsee that changing anytime soon #wba
@StevenWBA: #wba closing on agreement with Espanyol for Thievy Bafouma - would seem this boy is the last throw of the 2013-14 attacking options dice...
@StevenWBA: Told Bafouma is currently on flight to England to undergo medical at #wba training ground mid part of this afternoon. Looks done & dusted.
France u21 international.
Hmmm
Totally unproven but Mel will know him so who knows?!
Get the feeling this transfer window isn't going to be as exciting as the last one.
Would be great if we pulled someone from the hat. Needs a lift after Wednesday.
All I see being linked is Thievy
Dave Homer @CoachDave_ 6m
Thievy 4 goals in 32 La Liga games. Now playing in Spanish 2nd division. Just what #wba need. Yet another none scoring goal scorer.
Thats the thing for me. We need to be clearing out the deadwood not adding to it. Smacks a bit of signing someone for the sake of it.
Steve Madeley @smadeley_star 1m
Espanyol had wanted to sell Thievy but they seem to have relented now and agree a loan with an option to buy. #wba
Steve Madeley @smadeley_star 2m
Reports in Spain claim Thievy on his way to England after £500,000 loan fee agreed. There was confidence at Albion first thing today. #wba
We are paying half a mil for a loan player who has scored one in 8 in La Liga.
