Seems to have bags of potential. A risk but a cheap loan option to 'check him out' before any permanent transfer is made will only work in our favour.
French u21 international and looks quick as sheeeet, which is exactly what we are lacking out wide. Could be a gem.
Nice vid. Very very impressed with his hair. Nice.
Mel picked anyone else up this window?
No, more because the board haven't let him.
Wasn't convinced about Thievy but the more I see and hear of him, the more I begtin to think he might be quite useful.
Nope. Theivey the only Jan signing.
We have the squad to stop up...we just need Mel to pick the right players now (i.e not Lugano, Reid etc..)

Mel: “Thievy is a good striker. He is quick, can score goals and is able to play across the front three positions.
---------
Very much a Pepe Mel type of player like Joel Campbell was at Betis.
Only caught the goals highlights of the midweek derby, but got to say the defending looked pretty atrocious. How about the overall set up, any big differences or signs of improvement regarding the overall setup elsewhere since Mel took over?
More pressing. More possession. Just Yacob sitting in front of the defence mostly.
No hit and hope passes until towards the end of the game. Played it along the back and switched the play more often.

Put it this way...had McAuley been in the team instead of Lugano...we'd of won the derby. As I said earlier, if Mel picks the right players....we'll be fine.
Although a major over turn in players this Summer. It will really reshape our club. Anelka, Vydra, Gera, Dorrans, Sinclair, Lugano, Popov, Reid, Ridgewell, Amalfitano all likely to retire, leave or go back to their parent clubs.
I'm thinking Lugano was picked ahead of McAuley because he is better with his passing.
