Honestly Billy Davies could be a genius appointment. Don't know if the club would have the balls to do it. He is in the Fergie mould. Only thing is, he would want Fergie not interfering in any way. Moyes doesn't have enough fight about him as a person imo, but we shall see. The signs are not good and that will only get worse imo.

I know why we went for him, on paper apart from his lack of trophies, we thought he had everything to succeed at the top with us.

I, in fact initially wanted him as the Manchester United Manager, as he does live up to the philosophies we have in the club. English, promote youth-team football etc etc...

However, the more I see that he is incapable of doing the most basic things, I have started to slowly give up on him. Billy Davies is a great manager, being from Derby when he was our Manager he did absolutely wonderful things. The difference between him and Moyes right now is that one of them has a plan when going into a new club.

Like you I was very much behind the appointment of Moyes.
I liked the fact we were still keeping to our British roots ,I admired the job he did at Everton and he talks a good game.

But..when is IT going to click?
And will it ever?

I'm convinced David Moyes isn't a bad manager but for United and his future maybe it is best to part ways.
Certain things in life just don't pan-out how you want them too ,no matter how hard you and others try.

i think pride will get in the way of common sense here and we will still have moyes as manager of utd come next season if fergie has his way

I can understand Sir Alex choosing his own man to replace him, but how much power do you think he has at the club in his current position?

I didn't want Moyes to begin with. The job needed a bigger personality to follow Ferguson.

Moyes is doing worse than expected, I said at the start of the season that below 4th is unacceptable so if he doesn't get that then he should go.

I do think he has been unlucky, both in matches and with injuries. If Rooney and van Persie had been fit all season likely we would be closer to top 4. Deflections and wonder goals seem to lose us a lot of matches too (today, Spurs, etc).

Honestly we have lost so many times already I am indifferent to defeat, I nearly expect it now. For me, if we can keep RVP and Rooney fit for the rest of the season and our results don't improve then Moyes has to go.

For now I sit on the fence.

The best thing for Utd is Fergie cutting all ties for the club for a few years. His shadow looms large and we don't know how much power he still has behind the scenes. I love the man as an ex Ranger and Govanite. But his influence there cannot be good for anyone coming back. It's still 'Fergies club'

MUDD, I'm guessing with your nervous break down on Arab's thread, it's safe to say "You're in the MoyesIn camp?"

I honestly don't know. For now, he's our Manager and despite personally giving him 2 more transfer windows to show some promise and some signature in football, I would not sit there and stand in a new Manager's way.

Pochettino/Martinez managed to revolutionise their respective teams playing style. Allardyce/Pulis at least bring one.

Klopp is the best chance to bring in a top, top Manager if there was one to go in summer.

As I said above Wing I would go for Davies.

I wouldn't go for a 'massive' name. You need a really strong personality with an ideology and a plan. Who has a winning track record - ie making lesser team punch above their weight. Davies ticks those boxes for me.

It's a tough call for anyone to pick a manager for Utd.

Klopp really should've been the one.
He's young,he's won things,he has a high-tempo technical way of playing and speaks English.
Perfect.

I've always been a moyes inner, BUT, the transfer window has just passed and he again failed to address our glaring weakspot of CM, so I have recently mounted the fence.

Klopp is a great shout as well. Probably the best of the known managers.

Martinez is another who I said and is a good choice Darkphoenix.

Klopp is who you may go for. The only thing is he seems to be happy with his life there.

I don't think he will as soon as Gundogan makes his way out. I think he saw a project and delivered to the best of his ability but came up against Munich, a team on the rise to be one of the best teams in the world right now. The trashing of Barcelona was a massive signal.

On top of it, all his players are getting pouched, I'd be surprised if he sticks around.

That's my thinking.
United could offer Klopp the chance to do something he has rarely been given a chance to do and that is not only compete on the field but also off it.

But United wont go down the Klopp avenue just yet and you could argue that they might not even if Moyes was given the boot.

Dortmund said within the last few days that they will be spending big in the summer to continue being the second biggest team in Germany.

I know what you mean DarkPhoenix, I was more on about off the park with his family and life in Dortmund that he's happy and settled. Saw his interview on ITV prior to the CL. Money doesn't seem to motivate him and he seems a 'different' character. I like him a lot and it would be great if Utd got him.

klopp is the best thing that can happen to utd imo

He strikes me as extremely loyal but I am sure deep down he has bigger ambitions that staying in bayern's shadow for the rest of his career. It is up to us to bring those desire to he fore.

He recently said he accepts BVB are a selling club, but what manager truly accepts having his best players nicked by his closest competitor knowing he is powerless to stop it.

Should've never got the job the inept clueless cretin. Hard as it may sound, we have to stick by him as he will not be sacked with Charlton and ferguson still at the helm.

Put me in the Moyes as far away from United as possible camp.
