When the wing backs attack the SWP moves to take their position on the right or left of defensive to prevent our CBs from being dragged out of position.
No way do I want Shaun wright Phillips anywhere near our CBs

A completely new formation in one of the most important games of the season?
No thanks.
I like it Loavirgo, I think it would work well in away games but when we play at home I like to see us play with wingers.
burghand,
I hear you but I don't think we can play with two winger if we don't play two CMs that can defend. We would get torn to shreds.
In my opinion two wingers and two strikers requires us to play two DMs. I don't think Sherwood Realises this.

That just made me properly laugh.
I think someone on the other post nailed it - whatever you'd like to see, Tim will play 4 in the middle with Dembele and Bentaleb.
Bale's
It is and it isn't, I had in mind different roles for the players than one would conventionally see in a 5-3-2, although it is essentially a modified version of it! And there's only one striker
A lot of the time, different formations are just tactical tweaks to ones that are already widespread, as opposed to being an entirely different shape!

5 defenders, 3 midfielders.. 4 if you count Eriksen although he'd have to play as a forward..
I get what you're saying, and agree about player roles but Walker and Rose are not good enough to be proper wingers.. 5-4-1?

As long as all they run about abit we'll be triffic
