but United dont have shoestring budget... so I dont understand...???
He also had a brief of Everton which was basically win more games than you lose, have a decent cup run now and again and keep the fans happy.
His brief at United is slightly different

Yes you do..
If he could spot an Arteta, Cahill and Baines and bring the best out of them - all he needed was a bigger platform.
You seem intent on trying to convince us that Moyes is a phenomenal manager.
Do you want him back?
^ why did you miss out Fellaini?
Not sure on Cahill and Arteta, but Baines wasn't much of a spot.
I wanted us to sign him from Wigan. It was clear as daylight to me he was a very good player.
why did you miss out Fellaini?

He takes up too much room!
Not sure on Cahill and Arteta

They made a sandwich a manwich!
But as is seen on a bigger platform the pressure is much higher as is scrutiny and fans expectations...oh and most high end transfers dont need 'spotting'....
apart from being in Fegrusons ol' boys club im not sure why he was ever considered for ther job. Im not saying he is bad manager but the skill and experience he has does not fit the job he was offered certainly not over other candidates...

But it's not is it?
Some United fans are desperate to work out Fergie's reasoning behind picking Moyes - and here are 10 reasons.
You don't like it because you are scared that Gerrard is going to get caught dithering on the ball in front of your box on Saturday - and Ozil and co. are going to mug him over and over again.
Those are ten reasons why he could have stayed on as Everton manager, but not reasons why he should be man utd manager.
In fact the one point of why he shouldn't be man utd manager is that a must win two legged game v Villareal, That's when the pressure was on, to do something to take he club to new heights.
He failed.
