Bring in a manager like Klopp and we will have a great team that will include Kagawa, Mata and Januzaj
On paper you guys have a pretty good team
Top strikers, efficient wingers
Moyes is just not Man U standard.
Your game is a carbon copy of how Everton played under him
If Kagawa and Mata were on the same pitch we would get annihilated in midfield, no pace, strength or height.
I feel Mata made a rash decision moving from Chelsea. I think he let the fact that the World Cup is round the corner affect his thinking.
He could've stayed at Chelsea, fought for a place and possibly ended up with a PL winners medal and then moved to any club in the summer. With his past performances for Spain, I believe he would've got into the SPain squad regardless of playing time.
Now, he is at United. A team that does not suit his style, a team where Rooney is the main number 10. He should've known that we most likely won't be playing CL next season at the very least....Now he could be stuck at a club that can't get the best out of him fighting for top 4 for many seaosns
Mata will still have a PL winners medal should Chelsea win.
For all his quality on the ball, Mata was basically another Ashley Young today: check back onto the other foot and whip in a cross.
I said it before we bought him: this is just like the Van Persie signing all over again, except we're in a far, far worse position now. Mata is a brilliant footballer, but it is very hard to see how we are going to accommodate him given that our strengths and weaknesses say that he was one of the last players we actually needed.
To fit him in properly, we literally need to:
- buy two excellent central midfielders who can run, tackle, shield the defence and pass
- choose between Rooney and Van Persie and risk freezing the other one out (I don't think they can both play in the same side as Mata)
- use Januzaj as Mata's understudy, regardless of his displays so far (though he can fill in as a winger)
- sell Kagawa, apologising profusely to him in the process
- buy a winger
- buy a new left-back
That's all I can think of for now...
Mata wont benefit when the tactics are just simply shower the other team with crosses and hope for the best
If you see what a Coutinho type of player can do with the right tactics you will know everything you want to know.
Mata will still have a PL winners medal should Chelsea win.

Or......just change our playing style to follow City's....
Mata could play the role Silva play's for City without any problems.

i remember the Kagawa and hazard debates we were having with chelsea fans
I've got a great idea.
Let's buy a truly world class AM, who has shown he can open up premier league defences and play him outwide!
When he was Everton manager we used to have a chant "David Moyes is a football genius" we were being sarcastic!
Mata plays out wide for Spain guys, so chill.
Having said that, I'm pretty sure Spain never made 85 crosses in a game

Problem lads? http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/minimum-games-played-in-order-to-win-league-medal.html
Mata has appeared in 13 PL games for Chelsea this year and they're looking likely to win it.
That's all I can think of for now...

Well, yes, but we would still need a Fernandinho and a Toure. We have neither.
The formation and playing has to change or be will flop and that's not his fault.
We knew what type of player we we're buying.
It's like veron, we bought a deep lying playmaker and played him everywhere but there but he was top drawer.
Only difference if mata is proven as world class in this league.
But unless we play narrow formation to accomadate him and Rooney he will fail.
There is still time to get the best out of kags if we do this.
KLS, Mata made his name playing wide for Valencia, and plays wide for Spain. It's not so much the problem of playing wide but the problem of how we play football.
Benched, I don't think you get a medal if you no longer play for that team, though.
surely mata cant get a medal now hes left though
would be hilarious if he did though
Henrik Larsson has one from his loan spell at the club I think.
There may be a difference between a player being loaned to a club that wins a league than a player being transferred from a team that wins it.
I guess we'll see what happens. I'd be surprised if he got one, though.
C.13. The League Champions shall further receive 40 commemorative medals to be presented by
the Club to its Manager and to such of its Players and Officials as it thinks fit provided that
any Player who has entered the field of play in a minimum of 5 of its League Matches that
Season shall receive from the Club a commemorative medal. Additional medals may only be presented with the consent of the Board which shall only be given if the total number of
Players who have entered the field of play that Season in a minimum of 5 of the Club’s League
Matches exceeds 39.
He'll get one as long as Chelsea give it to him....Jose says no.
You could probablt give Moyes Messi and he'd still mess him up. How? By playing him right up top and continuing to cross the ball
Give him Ronaldo and he'd mess him up. How? He'd tell him to hug the right/left touchline, get to the byline and just cross it in. Get it in the mixer
Give him bloody Zidane in his prime and he'd tell him to pass it out to Valencia as often and quickly as possible then run into the box
If Mata has played 12 or more games(think that us figure) or come on as a sub that number of times & Chelsea are Champions, then yes he gets a medal!
