years back i enjoyed watching hibs, seems united are the team with the young talent to watch, and if your without bank debt then when you sell you can invest.

What did you think of Djemba-Djemba yesterday? I thought he was well off the pace and was lucky to stay on the park.

I did like the supporters flat cap tribute though

didnt look near match fit did he, shouldnt have played, can denta guys confidence like that

I'd have subbed him off at half time

As for investment, I think the money will get pumped into youth. Apparently we're announcing some community projects off the back of this in the next couple of weeks.

still wish we had signed GMS

He's improved his game considerably this season. He was all tricks and flicks before whereas now he's trying to be a bit more direct and hurt teams.

St Mirren wouldve made Johnstone Burgh look good yesterday.

I thought up until they equalised they were playing o.k then they just basically surrendered the game

my mate whos a St Mirren fan said it was in the top 3 worst performances under Danny Lennon

8 wins since they won the cup last march

Ivan - congratulations mate - although potentially a tough tie at Inverness to make further progress

Ghod they were dire yesterday. As I said Djemba-Djemba was not match fit while I thought Goodwin got dragged into the needle and lost his concentration. It allowed us to dominate the midfield.

Steve, tough draw no doubt. Nothing we can do other than go up and give our best. Hopefully it'll be enough.

Watching it on the TV, I had a somewhat different opinion of the game. I didn't think Çiftçi was all that great. Very good assist & almost another one with a great ball to GMS, and took his goal well, though perhaps should have had another. But apart from those 4 incidents, he didn't do much at all. Gave the ball away too much & his touch was often poor. But a goal & an assist isn't to be sniffed at, and if he can repeat that every game I'll be happy.
Armstrong seemed to be out of the game far more than he was in it. Didn't think he played well and was rightly subbed first.

But the rest of the team were pretty good. Robertson made some fantastic runs & GMS was full of life again. Disappointing to see Wilson caught out for a penalty again & Souttar was given the runaround by Thompson a couple of times, but other than that they were fine. Impressed with Good so far. Didn't think he'd be up to much but he seems a genuinely capable player.

Going by the highlights last night a lot of the play was more like the DUFC4 we all got used to before Xmas. Kello made a couple really good saves too, especially the one from Ciftci's header.

Ciftci, Robertson maybe the two stand outs although everybody played well, a lot of 1 or 2 touch football getting played. Think we've only got 3 away games (league) before the split. so I'm still going to dream of that euro slot.

Also I think we should head into every game with the mindset that we MUST score at least 2 goals. As its now almost a foregone conclusion that the opposing team will get a penalty.

I thought yesterday way much better from United. The intensity with which we started the 2nd half was excellent, although I feel like we should have kept it up a little longer, we were close to getting that 3rd goal.

Sitting in the ET I really enjoyed seeing Goodwin getting pelters, and to be honest he was totally shut out of the game and barely got any touches. To be fair to him he actually played a fair, clean game and when he was taken out by GMS I think it was in the second half he got up and got on with play. They had a little scuffle as well towards the end of the second half but there wasn't much in it and good to see the players both just let the referee do his job and get on with the game.

My initial reaction to the St. Mirren penalty was he went down easily, I didn't think there was contact. Haven't seen the highlights though and it happened quite quickly. Anyone enlighten me?

Much improved, and with this being the first in 5 of 6 matches at home I want to see United go on another good run and make the next match at Pittodrie a very important one.

On a side note, I was at Easter Road for the Raith Rovers game and what a miserable bunch some of the hibs fans are. One was led away for throwing a lighter at a Rovers player as he was taking a throw in and some others had to be led away for fighting in their new stand. As we were leaving another Hibee was being restrained by police and when they finally let him get on his way he was shouting "Raith Rovers c****!!" to around a thousand or so Raith fans. To the general hilarity of all around he was met by a loud chorus of donkey noises, and even the policemen managed a little chuckle.
