The only reason why so many Portuguese players are being linked with us is because of AVB and Meireles obviously being ex-Porto is bound to spark rumours.

Meirleles is your best midfielder by a mile though and I certainly think he should be playing at a better club that can offer him CL Football.

Meireles is a very competitive sportsman so I would therefore suggest that he should choose from either Barcelona or Man Utd - at least he'll have a chance of winning European silverware
