Steve, not sure if you remember but I got slaughtered on here for saying I went to see the Les Mis film and enjoyed it

I've since been to the West End to see Phantom of the Opera but kept that quiet (until now ).

I prefered Les Miserables to be honest and would actually fancy going to see it live.

i was about to say gaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy for musical but rock of ages was good and it plays 80's rock music, to which there is nothing better

SDF - how was Cruise in Rock of Ages? - loved him in the 90's - e.g. The Firm, Jerry Maguire and of course, AFGM. Not too sure of him now, though

no really in it that much so its good enough

i dislike cruise a lot but love the last samurai, in fact the last samurai, replace godfather with that

the musical (rock of ages) in vegas is sublime, went to see it with the mrs just there

Ivan - can't remember that thread - all I can say is I have been watching musicals since an early age and it has never occurred to me (until now) that anyone would be less of a "bloke" for enjoying them

Zico - the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan is as compelling as it is horrific - you just think - "this is exactly how D-day was"

DG - I loved Oliver too

Wild Rover - if you haven't already, please watch "Saving Mr Banks" - will give you a whole new perspective on Poppins

SDF - really tried to get into Last Sumarai but couldn't - maybe try again......still got the DVD
