So we can lose between £3m and £8m per year with NO SANCTIONS against the club so long as Fawaz is prepared to inject equity into the club to cover the difference. Sounds good to me!
I expect we'll lose more than £8m
How many players did Watford sign during their pre-season embargo? I believe they were one of the most active sides in the transfer window
Fawaz has already put a substantial amount of money into the club, and with his company sponsoring Forest I don't see FFP as a problem, but we need to get a move on and into the PL soon.
Watford paid very little for their players though because they were basically moved from one club to another club owned by the same person
So,if worse come to worst, Fawaz can default on his sponsorship deal. That could free up some cash.
So what you Forest fans are saying is that you want someway to cheat the system. How about not spending money you don't have but then that would be breaking the habit of a lifetime.
Spart, I think it's a little naive not to think every club will be looking at ways to make this work best for them and it's not about spending money we don't have, quite the opposite.
I reackon we will lose £30m even with parachute payments so could be worse for you

TBlockLoftusRoad, interesting FFP article from last year regarding your lot. Not nice reading I'm afraid but then again not sure on the projection stated.
Loans and free signings if Watford is anything to go by then, they signed Lewis.
I find it funny that Derby fans agree with FFP even though it won't do them any favours in the long run. They just think it will be better for us, hence the morale stand.
At this level while there is parachute payments like there is, clubs like both of ours will struggle to compete. That's without the effects higher up
The other thing is, despite various things Derby are running a loss year on year. How about you stop spending more than you have before you preach at us?
Everyone does it Jack, I saw a Brighton fan bitching about Forest AFTER they announced their recent losses of £12M or whatever it was. The rules always apply to someone else!
Wasn't it the Bolton manager earlier in the season that had a dig, but they have parachute payments and a much higher wage bill? That was before news of their debt came out
Both QPR and Bolton are both good examples of how not to do it. If we overspend this season that will result in a transfer ban next right?
If that's the case we should build a big squad this season [as we seem to be doing] and go for it.
I think that players are holding club's to ransom over wages. There should be a formula for reducing Prem' wages on relegation. Or would that just keep good players on the big boy's books to be farmed out on loan to the Champ and lower divisions?
http://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/Derby-County-announce-loss-8m-latest-accounts/story-17872516-detail/story.html Can you see the Derby owners putting in the extra cash instead of loading the club with debt.
FFP will never work. Let's face it Fawaz comes to most games, he could get the club to charge him £8 million a season for his seat.
Your Highness, your Highness.

Just shows all you boys are losing money too so maybe you should go easy on us. Throwing stones when you live in a glass house
Another thing we don't know is how much Fawaz's sponsorship is worth but I'm sure it more than covers what we have spent.
Its not like Fawas brought all these players into an already big squad. We had something like 12 players on the books when he came in. And hes not been held to ransom over wages, ala hobbs.
Hes not spent that much in terms of fees, with darlow, lichaj, fox, lacelles, jara, gomis, and vaughan on frees/loans. Hobbs, pato, mackie, cox, and lansbury were all round a mil each when looking else where could have been up to 3-4m. Its only wilson, abdoun, and the terrorist that we've forked out for.
Thats alot of free quality, alot of cheap quality, and some dipping into the piggy bank. The deadwood has been loaned out and will be off the books by the end of the season.
That and apparently lacelles is in the interest of a 15m+ bid from top 4 teams . That in itself would balance out the next two seasons.
The flow chart suggest an embargo would come into play at the start of 2015 until the club can prove it can balance books between the set guidelines. I wonder if that happened whether we could just sell a prospect or two and that would immediately sort it.
