Nope, Mourinho has had digs at Wenger over the years, Wenger never answered back at them. And what Wenger said was true as bookies and many others say it's Chelsea's too lose.

In that case Wenger didn't really think it through, 8 years is failure and he played into Mourinho's hands, the focus is back on Wenger being a loser, it isn't going to help with the media, fans or players.

Wenger was practically asking for it.

He is an easy target tbh, maybe gone a bit senile now, hence leaving himself so open.

But tbf what Wenger said is true. Jose's desperately wants to win something otherwise he will get sacked, but he pretends otherwise.

I don't think that is true. the club is desperate for stability and this was made clear in the very first presser he gave last summer. It is clear the only requirements this season were for qualification for the CL and to see the team progress. He won't be sacked for not winning trophies this season.

Next season is when he will have to deliver.
