I hate to see people lying on street drunk..there is should be civic sense when you drink. NHS and Police should just ignore these idiots instead of treating and helping them. I do drink and I am proud to say don't drink to get drunk.
Bacardi 8 and ginger beer is my treat. Guinness is my go-to session beer.
And I have to admit I love that pink Koppaberg stuff :|
And straight vodka.
And real ale, gin, good lagers, scotch, bourbon, cocktails.
Umm yeah, I like the sauce.
Whyalwaysme, its a shame more drinkers aren't like yourself. I've been attacked by groups of drunks and have had to deal with drunks who get a bit racist out here in China and Korea. Especially when you have an Asian wife...

German beer. Made with wheat. Usually a little cloudy. Has a nice clean refreshing taste, little sweet, sometimes a touch of banana. Big frothy white head. A hoegaarden would be a Belgian equivalent, but not a great representation of the style. The Germans are best. Just bottled my own home brew of it a couple of weeks ago. Tastes excellent

Don't drink, hate drunks and tipsy people. No tricking regard to their surroundings and causing issues. Should be banned as the drug that it is. Can't believe how many liver transplants are wasted on drunks. Like fatties they should sort themselves out and not leech off the NHS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
From my experience people who enjoy a drink are less of a problem to society than those people who hate people through generalizations
Manfrombelmonty, I guess my experience of being attacked by drunks, racist abuse thrown at me and my dad being in a racist drunk attack when I was a kid are all fine to you then.

Oh no..what a shame, really depressing to know this. Hope you don't get anymore trouble in future. If I am not wrong some Asian/African countries people do drink and drive and worst thing is that's very common. This is so annoying.
Stick with the Belgian's beer-wise usually. Tripel Karmeleit being my current beer of choice. Or German wheat beers, Schneider Aventinus is a top one if you ever see it knocking about. Kernel, despite being a southern brewery do some top quality IPAs.
Cocktails would go for an Old Fashioned, or Manhattan.
Black Label for shotting, honorable mentions for Talisker, Sipsmiths gin, and Wray Nephews with Ting

Aventinus is a great beer. The wife loves her Belgians too. There's a brewery here in the states called Onmegang. They're officially a subsidiary of Duvel and make some great ales. I've for a clone of their dubbel fermenting right now. Their quad is superb in the cold dark months of the North American winters
Today's not been good, had some drunk call my wife a sl*t and I can't knock him out otherwise I'd be deported. My wife is due to give birth very soon. Very frustration not being able to do something. Police are useless here...

Lol...talking about drinks, had very very funny experience while I was flying long haul recently. An old guy and his wife settled in a seat behind my row..guess what, once we reached cruising altitude, guy shouted at one of the FA and he asked for Bloody Merry priceless,,poor FA didn't have clue what to answer..guy was behaving like he is Business or first class. later on guy sitting next me opted for beer when offered and FA opened the can and some foam and beer got splashed at that old guy...hahahaha I couldn't stop laughing.

My old mans just been to Belgium and brought us back a crate of the Westvletren 12, made up! America streets ahead of us though in terms of craft brewing, as much as it pains me to admit it! A mate is a brewer at a small(ish) local brewery and always moans about the boring beers they churn out.
Westy 12! Lucky bàstard! There was a release here last year. Couldn't justify the $85 for a six pack though.
The amount of craft breweries here is astounding. There's two in my town of 40,000 people alone. Love hanging out in the brewery just trying all the new experiments they've done

lol how did we get here?
Are there any to watch out for? Obviously the main ones we get over here are Brooklyn, Anchor, Flying Dog, etc but we're actually changing up our bottled beer range at work at the moment so I've been putting the feelers out..

Well my experiences of being attacked by sober people, racist abuse thrown at me and my dad being in a racist sober attack have made me think drinking is the way forward.
One of the best cocktails out there has to be a head spinner called a 'Harlem Mugger', which is based on 3 white spirts;
Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Champagne, Cranberry juice and a slice of lime - all poured into a tall glass full of ice.
Guaranteed, after two of these you'll be wondering why you've suddenly got a speach impediment and a silly grin in your face.
Pricey but well worth it!

Founders
Sierra Nevada
Six Point
Firestone Walker
Jacks Abby
Ballast Point
Rogue
Stone
All of these are probably big enough for export. Founders having probably the best variety and some of the tastiest
Sierra Nevada is another one gaining popularity over here, but I'll keep an eye out for the others! Nice one.
Sierra Nevada torpedo is a great IPA. They do everything quite well.
I can't emphasize enough just how great Founders are, though. I know it's available in N Ireland so should be elsewhere in the UK.
Founders Double Chocolate Coffee Oatmeal Breakfast Stout is easily the best beer to have passed these lips.
Am hoping to replicate an Oatmeal Imperial Stout for my next brew
Also, just in case anyone's worried, none of the beers I've mentioned have turned me into a violent racist one man hate crew.
Just saying, y'know
