Sanogo showed that the loan deal for Demba Ba would have worked a treat. I can also understand where Maureen was coming from.

He did ok for the time he was on. Not much of a goal threat barring that strike which deflected off Gerrard and setup Oxlade. He worked hard up front and fought off Agger and Skertel well.

Long way off yet and still very much potential, but i think he can do a decent job for us this season.

Hopefully we can see him get a few games under his belt. Composure etc should all come as he becomes more settled and match fit.

Very raw. Has a very long way to go to be worthy of being our no.9. Hope he surprises me but I'm far from impressed.

Demba Ba would have been a really useful loan signing for us if we had pulled it off. Our strike options are mid-table standard.

Played the kind of game Giroud gets maligned for, and the praise is partly due to the dislike of Giroud. He did, however, do pretty well considering how long he had been out, the magnitude of the game and the fact that, in many people's minds, he was a symbol of our failure in the summer transfer market. Plenty of potential in there, I feel, with decent flashes of technique.

I saw absolutely nothing to make me think that there is any potential there. He has a bad first touch and he did not really get involved in the game. Wish I could say something more positive but the fact of the matter is that we have 3 strikers, none of whom would make the top 7 teams. This is what will cost us ultimately.

Sbum is very anti-Arsenal on a good day so I wouldn't take much notice of him.

Like a young Adebayor. Difference is when Adebayor first came he had Henry and Bergkamp to learn from. Sanogo had Bendtner and Giroud..

Blimey, thats told me!

I thought he did ok, but time will tell if he is an Henry type of youth or a Aliadiere type of youth....

DJ get your usual dig in. Don't you get bored being right all the time ? I have supported this club for over 40 years and will always support them. Have you honestly seen anything in Sanogo so far to make you think that he has potential to be our main striker?

To be fair to Ade he was playing abit with Monaco before he came so had abit of 1st team game time. Sanago didnt play too much for Auxerre due to being injured all the time.

Stil too early to tell about him but i though he had a decent amount of pace. Not a turtle like Giroud.

I think people on this forum are lacking some perspective or never compete in any sport whatsoever.
I am not saying that Sanago is good nor will be good. But you can not judge (negatively) a player whom was injured and out for more than 7 months on his debut.
Even proven and established player would have average game when return from injury.
Now, add on top of that it is a new league, it was his debut and it was against a team that has spanked us 5-1 no long that a week ago..... I'd say, he has been decent. Nothing special but decent and will surely improve in the future.
