Thatcher imposed the ban because fans of your club killed 39 people.
-------
Incorrect, as the guardian article shows.
Here comes another out of town glory hunting ball bag.
Was it just coincidence then?

So it was all down to timing and all the English clubs were going to be banned any way,is that what you are inferring?
Your fans gave UEFA and Thatcher the opportunity to ban English clubs from playing in European football for years

Talk about burying your head in the sand... I'll copy and repost my previous comment complete with links for you to actually read this time.
It doesn't matter where I am from.....
How many Premier Clubs geographically between where you live and Liverpool
All English clubs were banned because of the hooligan culture surrounding many many clubs. Liverpool were banned for longer.
The ban was placed by the FA, not UEFA, on all english clubs due to hooliganism up and down the country following instruction from the then prime minister.
http://www.theguardian.com/fromthearchive/story/0,,1496054,00.html
Firms like the Cutters contributed to their own clubs being on the receiving end of that ban.
Following the end of that ban English clubs have performed well in Europe with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd winning trophies and getting to finals. Something even Fulham managed.
Thereby Everton fans pointing to one thing that affected all English clubs due to their own hooligan instances as a reason for being unsuccessful in Europe doesn't stand to reason.

Educate yourselves.
So we were all going to be banned anyway,so Liverpool fans being what they are and thought if we are going to get banned we'll make sure it's for a reason.
See what I've done their,I've just looked at the circumstancesand your explanation and made it all up.After all my explanation is as plausable as yours stating Heysel had nothing to do with the ban on English clubs
So without Heysel Thatcher would have imposed the ban anyway ?
Like I said if it was a Liverpool specific issue, they'd only have banned Liverpool...
But as the worst offence involved Liverpool, they banned Liverpool for a longer term.
If Heysel had not happened are you saying all clubs would have been banned anyway.
A simple yes or no would do
^ I have no idea, do you? Do you think zero action would have resulted in a cessation of hooliganism?
^ simple yes or no would suffice
You need to educate yourself Red.
Answer the question
Why weren't just Liverpool banned following Heysel?
If it was just Liverpool, then why was the ban imposed on all English clubs?
Certain clubs, nowadays, have fans that racially abuse players. Sanctions are imposed on the clubs, and not on all teams in that country.
Certain clubs, in Italy for example, have a hooligan element that commit violent acts on visiting CL clubs fans. They have also recieved individual sanctions. Why haven't all clubs in Italy not recieved the same sanctions?
Answer the above & you'll find the answer to why all English clubs were banned, and not just Liverpool.
I would say action needed to be taken to half the spectre of hooliganism.
Wouldn't you?
Edit

Its always easy for you sitting on your sofa to cheer the mighty reds on!
I missed out because of Thatcher and Uefa. But as the mighty reds were the main club from england in EuropeIit makes you think why UEFA were so happy to see them banned?
CHF they've gone from blaming Liverpool for all clubs being banned, to now saying Liverpool fans were simply the "trigger" for this.
Saying Liverpool fans were the trigger admits then there was a wider issue, that needed tackling, though falls short of accepting fans from many clubs - including Everton have blame attached.
Which goes without saying as all clubs were banned and not just liverpool.

You are an idiot......
It was Thatcher and UEFA that banned all English clubs. The actions on that night were just the final nail in the coffin; she thought it would cure the problem.
Clearly groups of fans will still force access to grounds.....even set of fans who have seen what poor stewarding can do.
Show us all the evidence that the government and the FA already had it in place to impose a ban on all English clubs playing in Europe BEFORE Heysel
I missed out because of Thatcher and Uefa.
