Bamford was pretty anonymous again, apart from his goals he's yet to play well in the wide position.
Front 3 has to be Russell - Martin - Dawkins surely?
Hughes did well 2nd half i thought and Hendrick battled well but was clearly lacking match sharpness... many times his passes were a yard too short/slow.
Credit must go to Bournemouth & Eddie Howe for trying to play us in a different way to the usual "spoil the game and try to nick something from a set piece" that we usually have to put up with at the iPro... 4 attackers with width from Pugh & Ritchie to push our full backs back and Grabben sitting on Eustace and breaking forward at speed.
Half time subs swung the game in our favour, hats off once again to SM for his positivity - draws are no good to us at this stage of the season.

I'd take one next week at Turf Moor Milf.
Hinton surely NO contest....
Would actually go Ward instead of Russell Milf...was disappointed with Russell's defensive game in parts...but not much in it.
I expect Burnley will push up on us next week too like they did against us at home.
Huuuuuuge gaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

You are a total utter cad for trying to hijack my post.
I have issues with the stability, contrast, positioning, lighting and generally shoddy approach to filming.
But what else would one expect when you are sitting with the riffraff in cattle class?
I trust this shan't happen again.
Here he goes, good old 666, twisting words again. What i said was...
"But Martin has had planty of chances to shoot from distance and seldom (if ever?) has even tried. He regularly picks up the ball 25 yards out.
It may not be in his game plan to shoot, but to lay off to others, and thats fine but every now and again a long range shot might be worthwile."
How RIGHT I was. My thanks to Coldplay for his help.
View - me too
2W - i think you'd be in a very small group of Derby fans who'd play Ward over Russell.

Not MINE Simon - I stole it.......I was nowhere near it...I swear...

I know, I know: I went back to the conversation and checked, that's why I 'paraphrased' you rather than quoted!
I said he could, you said he should, and we're both on the money.
Ah, an admission that I am right. That'll do for me. I'll even let you be right as well.
I am with 2W on Ward and Russell. Russell's first touch is no where near as good as Ward's.
Even if you are in a minority of one 2W you can still be right. Interesting that the one Derby fan who counts on this is McClaren and he usually prefers Ward to Russell.
Ward's 2nd, 3rd & 4th touches are nowhere near as good as Russell's...
For me, Ward is a better wide player and tracks back well BUT he isn't as strong or direct. In a way that's why it's good having both - not a straight like for like replacement.
View. With your admission of being a bounder and a charlatan by passing off footage as your own .... I'm afraid the Academy must ban you forthwith .

Crikey the small group I usually find myself in now has doubled, I was in the other group before today but seeing Russell today was a bit disappointed, I won't resort to self-immolation if Russell starts but I can see why Steve M starts with Ward now.
Dawkins on the other hand....genius if he learns to shoot from distance....my life will be complete.
Part of the "fun" of managing at this level must be balancing the inadequacies of your players. All of ours have inadequacies, McClarens main strength to date has been spotting which are manifesting themselves in a game and making appropriate changes.
Russell hasn't had the run of games that Ward has yet though. Maybe I'M in the minority, but i think Russell is a far better player than Wardy.
Agree on the run in the team part, personally I feel we should be allowed to play 12 (4-3-2-2) players...just cos we cool like dat.
Re Campy - he took the ribbing well down at Bournemouth too. I bet he regrets kissing the tree - probably got that Dieback disease.
Like Billy's team appear to have caught now we're getting to the sharp end of the season.
Not even bothering to feign surprise, Eddie?
Billy bottles it more often than CAMRA.
Welcome back Eddie, beginning to worry that you'd not posted for a while.
