Tu Meke

I also think he might have missed the christmas period.

He was definitely out against WHU and Newcastle. I think he missed Spurs in the cup as well.

Poor excuse IMO.

As I said in the comment I linked to, no winter break no easy games and two hard games a week. He has looked tired for a while now so give him the time to adjust.

The fact that Walcott and Ramsey are out injured play a part. With Ramsey fit Ozil could have been rested,he's not the player to be playing week in week out, Wenger is trying to build his upper body strength the premier league is a bit more physical than he's used too.

But he will come good, his form can waver, his class will always be there.

I don't think Ozil has been anywhere near as bad as people are making out, for instance he was one of the best players on the pitch before he missed that penalty against Bayern. He just needs to regroup during is time off.

To be fair this has been fairly widely spoken about already and definitely is a factor.

It's that, combined with transition to a very difficult league (some players adapt quicker than others) and a resultant drop in confidence.

Add to that the absence of Ramsey and Walcott who were both linking up so well with him in his early few days and you have your answer.

As with most things, there is no single answer as to why his form has dropped but there is one single solution: patience.

just because we spent £42mil people expect moses

look at wastrels like andy carrot and torres

compared to these two I reckon Ozil's been great for us

Is Ozil really struggling though?

His assists and goals are pretty decent.

He's only off form, which happens to every player.
