Rooneysmiles (U1347)

I don't understand why your fellow United fans are denying it. The same ones denied the size of his last deal too. So what if he's got you over a barrel and is privy to all your transfer plans and deciding your tactics. This pandering to Rooney's every quéef has generally worked very well for you so far.

Did he play better now he's landed his bumper pay rise?

I wonder if the OP has ever performed the act implied in gis name... if he has, his aunt has got a lot to answer for in court.

the concept of doing what you can to hold on to your best players is lost on the gooners.....

It'll certainly be interesting to see who Koscielny, Wilsherr, Ramsey, Cazorla and Ozil move to in the summer.

Did he sign a new contract, yes

Did he get a pay rise yes

Did he play better yesterday?

Not hard is it, it's yes or no.

Played well, scored a great goal... How is 200k a week Wayne Bridge performing this season for you?

Wayne bridge isn't a city player

So Rooneys got his game back after becoming the highest paid player in British history.

You all cheering him again now

Later I'm off for breakfast.

while your having your coco pops read about the salarys of all those blue moon loving foreigners dying for the cause....

I don't think the 300k a week is quite as straightforward as that. I read that it is a continuation of his 250k a week deal plus an additional 50k from endorsement s obtained through the clubs commercial department. Don't quite understand it - think it was in the Guardian.

But the op is right, 300k deniers are a bit like climate change deniers.

Was a bacon butty actually with brown sauce.

Did he at any time kiss the badge?

Wayne Rooney must have won more trophies than MCFC have in their entire history.

He's certainly paid more than any other British player.

Man roo is your new name.

Who are you originally?

It makes sense, considering he is the best British player.

Is his new contract a statement of intent or a demonstration of weakness? His form has been erratic, he has been disruptive, fails to follow training and diet regimes set by the club and has a fondness for Benson and Hedges. I'm told none of the other players like him. God knows what they think now.

His new contract is us retaining a proven player, rather than having to spend the 40-50m fee + 30m in wages minimum over the same period that would be risked on replacing him with a foreigner. Makes perfect business sense for anyone willing to see beyond petty rivalry.

...the other players can suck a díck. Apart from Januzaj and De Gea, none of them have justified their own salary this season.

So why didn't Ferguson see it - or can't he see beyond petty rivalries? Sorry mate, Moyse is weak as pi33.

Fergie made a lot of mistakes because of ego; he wasnt infallible.
