Was going to ask the same question.
Noticed on arsenal.com today, that he's been added to the 1st team squad list, but wondered when he'll be eligible to play. Is he exempt from the work permit issue based on international appearances?
It's all been agreed apparently, just waiting for a few things to get processed.
We are also setting up an academy in conjunction with his club, Deportivo Saprissa, so I don't know if any details of this are holding the transfer from being completed.
The deal is complete, yes supergoon the deal includes a partnership with his former club. He is likely to get a special talent visa from what I have heard.
Apparently he has an Italian passport so does not need a visa?
all i know is that he's going to score 23 goals this season (well 24 actually but one will be reviewed by the dubious goal people and given to jamie carragher) and will fire us to the quadruple!! joel campbell
Italian passport? How would he have managed that since he has been living in costa rica his life.
His Dad knows a bloke from Sicily, who has a friend down at the embassy and he made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Oh No!! Its Silvinho all over again.........
