Our keeper and defence are going to give me heart attack. Even Henderson and Gerrard who arr supposed to be protecting the back four are not doing their jobs properly.
Allen my man of the match. He should be playing more
Agger/Skrtel is worse than Toure/Skrtel
if theirs was a pen, so was the one we weren't given
we were unlucky today and that's why it was close
No he shouldn't, it shouldn't have been a penalty.
---------------------------
Exactly.
If that was a penalty then there should be 8 or 9 given every game.
Can't wait for Sakho the beast to come back.
It was never a penalty....

Hopefully we exorcised a few of our demons today, we were complacent at 2 up, skrtel's been threatening to give that pen away all season and we did not press hard enough throughout.
So a few lessons learned and a great 3 points to take, Henderson was very good and Joe Allen is pushing for a start excellent when he came on.
technically it was a penalty as the ref blew his whistle and pointed to the spot
should it have been? hmm very debateable and soft

We got lucky today, Skrtel should have been off for that penalty, second yellow
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he shouldn't, it shouldn't have been a penalty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is definitely a pen. He's dragged him down... again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And let me guess you think Suarez's penalty shout was ridiculous? If one's a penalty the other should be. Both would have been very soft, Swansea got one Liverpool didn't. Therefore we were unlucky.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are completely different incidents though. Suarez got tripped and Skrtel pulled his man down.
He's been doing it for weeks so noone can say that he hasn't had it coming. I'm amazed Rodgers hasn't had a word with him about it.
Okay to be technically correct.
It wasn't a foul in the penalty area.......

Doesn't matter if is was soft or not he's been at it all season and now that a pens been given he might cop on a bit with the grappling. Luckily we got away with it today, in a different game it could have cost us points.
We weren't unlucky
We invited pressure. The balance in the middle of the pitch was wrong. It was clear to see in the first 15 minutes. Shelvey had too much room. You can't do that
Agger & Johnson coming back looked off the pace which didn't help. BR has to perhaps learn to change things quicker when he sees a problem.
It was a penalty and for Luis to have got a penalty it would have been soft. If we didn't get the one last week we aren't getting that. Skrtel does get a bit too touch tight at times so no complaints...
The only thing that matters is that we won with a lot for BR to look at and improve on so the boys won't be thinking they are fine, they'll be working hard to rectify issues which is as it should be
Jones is worse than Webb gor us.it was not a penalty if thata penalty then Chelsea would be given away at least three penalties every match
It was not a free kick for their second goal either
Even as a Liverpool fan I don't have a problem with the penalty award. Skrtel wasn't going for the ball and he was pulling at Bony.
I've seen people get away with it so from that point of view you could say its soft but at the end of the day what was he doing it for? You take a chance when you tug at a forward going for the ball in the box. Why take that chance, just let Agger deal with the cross.
Should never have been an issue in the first place. The ball was won in the FB area but then inexplicably given away again for Dyer to cross! That would be the main issue.
We got what we deserved. Swansea did well to take advantage of some sloppy defending - as a team

exactly this kind of a scare now is good, we got the win and we should have learned that we cannot be a bit complacent in any game from now till the end of the season.

I'm sure it wont be highlighted (don't think it was even on MoTD) but Webb turned down a penalty yesterday for Cardiff when Jelavic barged into the back of Jones.
Pretty blatant if you ask me - another non-decision from Webb....

That is the problem. Some refs will give it and some will ignore it. If Skrtel had given away 4-5 pens by grappling earlier in the season I bet he wouldn't be doing it at the moment.
