Pie,don't confuse my opimism with your new favorite word-delusion.Of course,everyone has a right to be concerned.
I know as well as anyone what is wrong with the way our club is being run,but i prefer to try and sift through all the crap that's written about us.
In suffered as much as anyone at the match on Saturday but,despite the result,i left the ground looking forward to the Villa game fully expecting at least two of our defense back,Goodwillie starting,and our midfield looking much better.
If none of this happens,and any of it is Kean's fault,then i will be on here rightly giving him some stick.
But i won't rant at Kean for anything that does not happen on the pitch,the stuff that actually means something to me.And i will not blow a fuse at club related stories that we don't know if they are true or not,or the media's silly obession with all things chicken.

It made my blood boil that Kean bemoaned a lack of bodies and hides behind the defender excuse. Ok so it's unfortunate that Givet was taken ill, but Nelon's injury was long term. We sold Jones very early and have not replaced him!

Ok, it's early in the season and there's a long way to go. However, Wolves are a benchmark for us (for the next year or two before we hunt City down) and these are games we can't afford to lose. Ewood was a fortress and as soon as teams come no longer expecting trouble then we're in the mire. Confidence plays a huge factor, if we fail to pick up points in the next couple of games we could be in the do do!

Nelon, Pie? Was considering the financial implications for the difference on paying an extra million now to get players in that can do a job now. Relegation is a real possibility this year but it shouldn't be. All this talk about bids in and expectations masks that we have disposed of more talent than we have brought in. We still have time to put it right but I don't have confidence that we have the game plan to make it there.

I am proud that as a club, we gave a chance to Paul Ince - he had served an apprenticeship and been relatively successful. Upon failure the club management enacted a plan to save the club's status by disposing of Ince and bringing Allardyce in. They were able to act in the club's best interests. It hurt us financially but mgt and the manager were able to adapt.

Can nwe say the same now. I want Kean/Venkys to do well but they are both experienced and don't appear to have the same plan/guide for the future. Is Kean picking his team or being told what type of result to obtain/deploy? Why change so much so soon when a mixed bag of tactics proved most successful?

The new report I have heard is that Shalke are blocking a move, not that Raul has turned down a move, although he may still do that.

I know it's against the grain to defend a neighbour, but why can't Raul join you? Similar size to us, and we where good enough for Fernando Hierro, Djorkaeff, JJ etc...

People forget Salgado was a very well respected player at Madrid, so why not Raul? Course it will cost, they always do... But the price of that kind of experience is always welcome to a squad surly?
