Isco is an incredible talent. Can't believe Madrid aren't starting him. Other than Ronaldo, he's the most talented player in that squad.

I wouldn't agree with that, we have good CBs but we just don't have the defensive mentality to keep out the opposition although individual errors need to worked on.

Wouldn't complain with a Sakho-Papadopulous partnership though.

I'd say Modric is a little higher up, he's been outstanding this season.

Modric is playing better, not least cos he's starting. Doesn't mean he's more talented than Isco by a damn sight. Isco makes things happen. He has the sort of talent Hazard does. Except he's got even better creative vision.

City vied with RM for his signature and he played under Pellegrini at Malaga.

If he is available, which is hugely unlikely given his talent/potential and this is his first season there, then it's surely likely that City will go back for him.

I like Benzema but I'm not convinced he fits the way we play. Whenever I've seen him play (admitedly not a huge amount) he seems to struggle out wide. Our front 3 rotate and I think to get the best out of him he'd need to be CF only.

Maybe I've not seen him enough?

Isco would be such a fantastic signing for us, but like others have stated, the chance of him joining us are so slim - it doesn't hurt to dream though!

Madrid have won 23 out of 27, it's hardly surprising that class players are being kept out of the side.

As for us getting a Marquee signing, how about this one?

We need 2 centre backs in my opinion.
1 should be 1 of the 3 dortmund centre backs, and the other should be manolas of olympiakos.
I was wanting papadopoulos last summer, after reports his knee problems were a thingnof the past, but it turns out they are not.
I imagine one of skrtel or agger are leaving cause thisvand next summer we will get any value for them (which is what fsg want) and considering neither are indispensible, id expect 1 out this summer and 1 out next.
Wisdom should be going out on loan again next season snd same with ilori.
(We also need a left back but the fact that chelsea and utd are as well will drive any price up too much for the position)

Another centre mid that cam play further back as well is another player we need (kroos- should he really be available) and isco would probably be a dream, but no reason we shouldnt target him.
Stay away from konoplyanka this summer please. No point going back to it cause itbwill never end. Another turan there.

If we are to strengthen the squad, we need 3 players that will go straight into the starting 11 as well as 3/4 that are 19-21 who will develop and /or play cup games etc

With dortmund apparently already lined up a replacement for gundogan, i assume its safe to say gundogan is leaving while dortmund can get good value for him.

No. There may not be a marquee signing but squad players need not apply. Brendan has stated this repeatedly since the end of last summer.

If more squad players do come in I will have a little cry.

I presume this rumour originates from caughtoffside or some similar site - which is definitely not going to happen. Why would Madrid let a player go who is touted as their next superstar alongside Jese who they bought for a hefty fee only last summer? Just doesn't make sense. Combined with his wages and transfer fee it's a no go. He'd walk into our XI though at the expense of Coutinho I'm afraid. Jese would be another one that would be a good fit for us.

Out of the two of skrtel and agger to be sold,it's a tough one,both have weaknesses and strengths,skrtel is clumsy and error prone,agger does'nt seem to be able to compete for high balls and make a physical presence,of himself,but agger is a better ball player,skrtel not so.
I trust brendan can find better consistancy this summer with the funds from one of them,however to partner sakho regular.
