I did an article on this a couple of weeks ago. I'm also really starting to think that Liverpool will do it.

City have games in hand to play after extra Champions League and League Cup matches so it could be tough for them to claw back the points difference.

Chelsea on the other hand don't have a proper striker and are over-reliant on goalscoring midfielders.

Liverpool have no other European distractions and are scoring for fun. They really have every chance.

If you put a gun to my head and asked me to pick a title winner at this stage I would go with Liverpool.

We outplayed both Liverpool and City, and know how to defend as well when needed.

I would rather Tottenham won the title, i would cancel my sky sports suscription if the mousers won, they bum pool as much as it is.

I agree about the entertainment thiing, watching us take them to the cleaners at The Bridge was brilliant.

You'd rather Tottenham than Liverpool?!!!!!!

Can you imagine Liverpool winning the league? Would be like knocking one out after a month with out 5ex.

2-1 hardly taking us the cleaners, yes Chelsea were better on the day, and we go beat fair and square, but don't be too happy.

I remember arsenal being overjoyed at beating us 2-0, we brought them to Anfield and well we all know how that ended don't we!

Between your goal and half time we pressed you high, took off the shackles and you couldn't cope, and for the record i thought you were much the better side at Anfield last season in our clash.

Also we are not Arsenal, if we do lose at Anfield it will be by 1 or at very worst 2.

Thought Southampton could easily of been 3/4-1 up at half time. Very lucky performance. Southampton controlled the game. But that's what happens if ur to win the league

Appears we can open up a 10 points gap to Arsenal and Liverpool before they next play a PL match too.
Their next PL matches are on the 16th of March(against Spurs and United away), whilst we play on the 8th and 15th(against Spurs home and Villa away).

Potential 9 points gap over City, by the next time they play in the PL. Massive psychological edge, If we manage to pull it off.
Must fully take advantage...

Of course they'll have games in hand but better to get the maximum points on board beforehand.

Liverpool are brilliant in attack and not as bad defensively as some are saying.

They have every chance of winning the title and don't be suprised if they do, especially as they can concentrate 100% on the Premiership without distractions.

Liverpool are a sham in defence, didn't concede today because Southampton lacked the cutting edge in the box.
Excellent chances squandered.

Skrtel insists on grabbing players shirts(an ball watching most of times) instead of actually defending.
Toure doesn't deal with pressure applied on him well.
Mignolet works at two end of the spectrum either flappy and shaky on one day or excellent on another day, inconsistent.
Johnson flatters to deceive.
Agger has his moments when he switches off.

our defence hasn't really cost us (m)any points this season though. Certianly not any more than any other side in the top 4

Don't think Gerrard particularly protects the back four well, either.
Attack is masking over their defensive deficiencies.

He says as we're 4 points ahead of them. Some people seem allergic to positivity.

Liverpool have to beat City and Chelsea at home

otherwise there is no realistic chance

Something they are more than capable of doing. City's away form has been quite poor this season anyway.

Also Liverpool will be much fresher with only the Premiership to concentrate on. City are fighting on several fronts by comparison so will be much less fresh.

As for us our lack of good striker will probably catch up with us eventually. We can only rely on the likes of Hazard and Schurrle for so long.

it's possible

but ask the bookies what the odds are of winning both

they won't give you good odds

The bookies are giving odds of 5/1 for Liverpool to win the title which is well worth a punt in my opinion.

agreed worth a punt

5/1 is a decent gamble
