jam, lemon juice, sugar
nothing more, nothing less
666- agreed. Lemon juice is the past, present and future in pancake adornments.
Lemon juice, touch of sugar. Job done.
....and please, be bothered to use a real bloody lemon!!!
Don't want to hear of those manky jiff plastic thingys.
Strawberry Jam. Always has...Always will.
Not a fan tbh but if i was to have one it would be savoury. I may as well just have an omelette.
I'm another in the lemon juice/sugar corner.
The lemon juice must come from one of those manky jiff plastic thingys.

Nooooo!!!!!
Savoury with bacon and eggs, lots of mixed peppercorns.
Then some with Nutella.
If it's in a can, it is NOT cream. It's not whipped either, it's as artificial as can possibly be.
In a ceremony to mark the start of religious dieting, presumably because the Christians had put on a stack over the Christmas holidays, it was originally about using up the staples of the larder and fats and stuff: where in the bible does Jeebers talk about chocolate drops or UHT cream in a can? I'm sure there's a bit about smoked bacon for the lepers, I forget the exact verse, but sliced banana? NO!
Then some with Nutella.
Oh and forgot some sliced banana with that.
Mmmm. Bacon, Nutella and banana on the same pancake. And just a hint of gravy.
Couldn't afford pancakes when I was a girl - we just had a Jif lemon and 4 straws
I don't give a toss about wee Jimmy Krankie .... Oops wrong thread
I'm on a diet so no pancakes for me
'Tis a good day to be a t0sser..........................er, hang-on..
Why do most of the world call it Mardi Gras but we call it pancake day?
Because it's about pancakes which used to be made to use up the stuff in the larder.
I'm not sure why SBD running to the mods would warrant an annual ceremony to recall his shame.
First one of the day - juice from an unwaxed Jerusalem lemon and manuka honey.
Anyone hit the ceiling yet? Or dropped one on the floor?
(Plenty of scope for you comedians there).
This afternoon Durango, I enjoyed my (many) pancakes with alternating flavours....traditional maple, and a rather nice Lyle's Butterscotch, and equally fine they were too!
I now head to the sceptered isle once more, to enjoy the U21 match tomorrow evening.
I am still, STILL, waiting for my first!
