we will still be fine to play in europe next season.

only idiots thought different.

I think too many have jumped upon the “banned from Europe” term.

Withholding a club’s (Uefa) license is the final sanction available to Uefa. Say Man City (or another) do not meet FFP Uefa won’t automatically ban them (dependent on the breach) if the club can evidence that they are making attempts to comply.

“Banning” a club from Europe will only be used as a last resort.

In regard to “bans” (licence withheld) Malaga and Rapid Bucharest have both been banned however many other clubs have had Uefa prize money withheld/suspended due to breaches.

It will not be for about another couple of seasons (after the initial monitoring period and grace period) before FFP starts to show its teeth.

FFP isn’t some plan that Uefa have devised overnight. It has taken six years to get this far with the full support of the EU and European Club Association. All 197 member clubs have signed up and will be bound by it, so unsure why some think it will not work.

The FFP isn't in affect yet so these teams couldn't have been banned for that reason

It has been for ages. FFP covers a range of financial issues.
Short term financial problems and long term (3 years) big financial loss..

“Because there will always be a way around it”

That’s not actually true.

Uefa have the remit (and more importantly the desire) to revise FFP if and when loopholes (which to begin with has been many) are exploited. The Man City ground sponsorship for example.

Understand the first revision will be considered by Uefa’s financial control panel in 2015.

So until 2015 it is true...?? is that what you are saying?
