I am happy Wilshere is injured.

He has brought NOTHING to the team in the last month.

Just because a player hasn't been playing well doesn't mean you should wish he was injured. Even if he never comes good again, that's an awful attitude to take.

You don't understand me. I am not saying I wanted him to be injured, but given that it has happened I don't mind because he isn't contributing anything to our side currently.

Try watching Antonio Valencia for two years.

I reckon Wilshere will still go to the world cup anyway.

cant see jack missing the world cup , not that he will make the slightest difference anyway as england are shitte with or without him ,

probably be a bigger loss for us , think the best we can hope for is our usual 4th place finish , not unhappy with that as CL qualification is the holy grail for us and far more important than the fa cup --

Jack Wilshere is the finest talent since Gascoigne. Jack has never looked comfortable with his body this season he's not looked right, his ankles are not right, he's put in some good displays but consistently not his former self.

Yesterday he tried to pop the ball off, on the edge of box, look to play one-two's in a continental kind of way but no England player could understand it, would like to have seen Sturridge in front of Jack and then linking up but I don't think that's Roy's kind game.

Wilshere always was over-hyped, and now it appears he has ankles made of glass aswell.

Wilshere never had the talent of gazza and will never be capable of doing the things he did.

I said since Gazza, I wasn't comparing them, I agree we've never produced a talent like Gascoigne, he's out there by himself for sheer talent, but Wilshere has a different way of playing the game than most English players, like Scholes, a European way of playing from the midfield.

We have had talent since Gascoigne, the Premier league just messed then up.

Joe Cole is a prime example

Yet another example that seems to show that Arsenal players are extremely injury prone. On a different discussion one Gunner fan went to the trouble of displaying the endless list of Arsenal injuries this season, but did not attempt to address the question:
"Why is this happening to this extreme?".

Again I ask, is it a training issue, a fitness issue, poor tackling techniques, an act of God (Chelsea fan?)? Somebody should be taking a serious look at this, just in case there is something that needs to be corrected.

Personally, I believe a contributing factor is a combination of the type of continual "back and forth" passing game that Arsenal play and the talented, but fragile, players needed to execute this type of game, COMBINED with the type of rough tackling approach that some teams respond with. Also add in the fact that we do not have one or two enforcers (hard men) in our line-up that make it clear to other teams that this sometimes reckless behavior will not be tolerated. I don't know, but there has to be a reason for the seemingly large number of injuries this season. Maybe it is due to alignment of the planets? But it doesn't hurt to raise the issue.
