BULLIES !!

The parasitic Scotch midge, once it has incarcerated itself in a host, often invites other family members in to gorge upon the rotting carcass in which it has made its home.

Generalist predators include other insects, amphibians, fish and bats. Repellents, such as DEET, are effective but care should be taken as damage to plastics may occur.

Interestingly, crickets and bats are good for midge culls, but not cricket bats. I would have thought a 2lb Gunn and Moore would suffice.

RiD, when you say "damage to plastics may occur" are you meaning that DEET might, for example, cause red plastic to pink per chance?

And are you coming to the i-Pro on Tuesday?

Peeder, the gradual fading of red is almost certain.
Work commitments unfortunately confines me to following our recent revival on this medium.
I've passed the stadium many times, but the last time I saw Bolton at Derby was a cup tie at the Baseball Ground.

Serious point here. As a man with a house in Scotland, I have had to solve this problem of the wee buggers. We use AVON "Skin so Soft" as a rub-on substance and it really keeps them off.
Maybe the whole Derby team should wear it for the visit of the manager of that team down the road!

Do they still make Gunn and Moore in Nottingham?

View-good point. Kookaburra will do instead.

Ramdini - I 100% concur with the Avon Skin so Soft.

We are regular visitors to the beautiful Isle of Skye and Silver Sands of Arisaig. We go armed with 1 bottle per person per week.

Remarkable stuff. I have no idea what it is really supposed to do (keep your skin soft, I assume) but if it's good enough for the SAS to use as inspect repellent then it's good enough for me.

Romance - I'm not there either so i look forward to a "not quite so friendly banter as normal" chat on Tuesday evening.

I find a few dabs of mouthwash does the trick and there are worse things than smelling minty.

Igor - isnt your normal "mouth wash" a golden brown colour with a distinct peaty flavour?

Welcome to the club!

Cat, I shall rise to the challenge of multitasking!
Just you wait and see. I can cook AND sulk simultaneously.

Whilst on the subject, posted this on the Derby boards so as not to offend...but between us all

Does this guy seriously have mental health issues. That's a genuine question not a WUM, the man seems delusional and paranoid and possibly needs help.

posted on 7/3/14

I always thought it starnge that he refers to himself in the 1st person (please correct me) "Billy Davies says this....."..."Billy Davies says that...."

Why has a 'legal team' advised him not to say anything? For what purpose? Surely as a high profile figure of a football club he has obligations to THAT football club and its fans?

That is proper weird! I can't imagine what point he is trying to make. Whatever it is, it's not working. Surely part of his job is to motivate the fans through his public appearances and interviews.

Just watched him on East Mid News. Madness is setting in for Billy.

Followed by Steve who is also a bit of a nutter but in a nice way.
