maybe but the likes of Beckham, ronaldo the talukhuiley(nepali for bald), rivaldo, that brazilian defender i forgot his name oh how could i, batistuta, ballack, zidan, henry, etc were the household names here long before the likes of Sachin, lara and ponting.. And now, many youngsters follow international matches.

but even as a cricket fan, i have to say, nothing even comes close to Football world cup atmosphere.. the world seems to come together, stand still. Cricket world cup doesnt quite feel the same, cricket world cup is more local, south asian affair more like...only 3 month away now... But this world cup is going to be morning time here so a bit underwhelmed by that.....cant wait though

oh kash you dont know how big premier league is here... Every big 4, ie big 5 now since revival of City has massive and passionate fan following. . I would say EPL is singularly more popular here than any cricket world cups.

i myself used to be a big supporter of both MUFC and liverpool... I hated arsenal i dont know why ,perhaps because i hated france team back then...

You cant support both ManU and Liverpool at the same time. We hate each other here.

i dont have quite the same passion for EPL, am quite a minority in that regard here, but i used to be around 6 or 7 yrs ago, and I did love both the reds..MUFC more so than the liverpool.. But hated arsenal with all my heart.
The same with France in football, india in cricket.

strange thing is at first Australia used to be my 2nd hatest team after india,, ofcourse for different reason.. The Aussie always seem to win. All other team seemed like underdogs and naturally supported underdogs ie every other team playing against Australia...

I do like the Aussies..maybe becuase, during my time playing cricket, they probably produced the best team I have seen play live.

Pakistan..well....without this rivalry, cricket just wouldent be the same.

England...love the team..just not on here.

i hated Australia In Cricket and Federer in Tennis for precisely same reason,, their dominance. They made other look like underdogs, there seemed to be absolutely no equals to them, no competition,,,their loss were so preciously rare , they seemed like an empire in itself.. And a desire to see underdog win and another to see the fall of empire made them my hatest... Ofcourse time changes.. Now both of them are mortals..and one will soon be history, the greatest sportsperson in the world of his generation.

i play better when i dont have to chase bad deliveries to score runs, so to get me out, bowl it short and wide.

Prefer to play against good bowlers

Deliveries that get me out are typically the ones that leave the hand correctly and aren't no balls or wides
