Canelo = fat fack

Shows how much Floyd drained him.

These deals are very dodgy in my opinion.
What next if someone fails a drug test they pay a bit of money and it OK then.

Don't understand why they're allowed to pay people off and get away with not making weight.

Although I think he's overrated, I like Canelo, he seems like a good lad, but I'm disappointed in him. He's gonna get stopped tomorrow.

I didn't realise how much he was struggling to make 154. This must be one of his last fights at this weight.

Really disappointed that the Molina - Charlo fight is off. I haven't seen much of either Charlo brothers, was looking forward to catching this one in action. He would've schooled Molina imo.

It is something that has crept in boxing in recent years, started off by Mayweather.

I don't dislike Canelo, he is a good boxer there is just quite a few that are much better.

I would have a system in place where you could not rehydrate to more than 5%.

A weigh in at the beginning of the week where they could not be over 5%.

A weigh in 36 hours before the fight where they have to make weight and if they don't they have 12 hours to make the weight or the fight is off and they get fined 10% of what their purse would have been.

Canelo has said numerous times he had no trouble making the weight for Floyd and he was down to 152lbs the day before the weigh in!

There should be a system in place where you can't rehydrate anyway! Mattysse canelo and many others come in 2-3 weight divisions above! Should be same day weigh ins imo

They have made a rehydrate limit of 168lbs! Interesting how angulo failed to make weight aswell though

Thy have said if it was a title fight he would've made 154lbs bit dodgy! Angulos camp seem happy though

He would say that wouldn't he, he didn't want to give Floyd the psychological edge.

Angulo didn't make weight cos of Canelo's offer, apparently he was easily on his way to making it.

If you offered me a 5 million pound I would also say I would have no trouble making 152lbs and I would make it even if it severely weakened me.

I see you don't know your boxing history. They did have same day weigh ins with little time to rehydrate but they found it made it more likely that the fighter was much more susceptible to brain damage, that is why we have the weigh in the day before now.

Canelo and Angulo both looked gaunt at the weigh in. The other fighters on the bill seemed in good shape though.

D4, you heard about the April 26 card Schaeffer's working on? Thurman and Matthysse on the same card =

Btw do you know what happened to Diego Chaves? He was rated higher than Maidana and Matthysse in Argentina before the Thurman fight, I'd like to see more of him, he needs more exposure in USA

posted on 8/3/14

Yes that will be a much better card than the one a week later.
Hopefully they will both face stern tests

He didn't have to say he managed easy it was also only 1lbs different from the trout fight! Canelo was drained about as much as cotto

He didn't say it was easy, he said making weight was the hardest part of his training camp for Floyd.

Manny and Floyd don't cut the weight to make the weight that is the problem.

When you cut weight you do it by shedding fluid. You lose fluid around the brain that protects it. When you rehydrate you take on that extra fluid but 12 hours is not enough time for it to replace what was loss around the brain.

Thus you fighters would go into boxing fights have a lowered punch resistance and likely to suffer from brain injuries.

That is why they made the move to make the weigh in the day before the fight normally around 36 before.

What was he going to say, it was hard as hell and I could train on my skill because I was cutting weight so much?

Every fighter says they have a great training camp and are in great shape before a big fight. Don't you know anything about sport psychology ?

This is my point fighters should not be allowed to cut so much weight if they need to hydrate 20+lbs to be fit

posted on 8/3/14

Do you not think it's dangerous for fighters being outweighed by 20lbs plus on fight night?.

Diamond, read my recommendations.
My opinion is quite clear there
