We need a squad that can cope with regular 2 games a week schedule. This season with no Europe and early cup exits has assisted us in the league. Of course that means quality replacing quality and not Aspas for Sturridge for example.

Kash, How many players of quality should we be aiming to sign this summer? 3-4 or more?
There is a rumoured 60M kitty so lets assume 20m is the minimum for a quality player, that gives us the option of 3 players, is this enough?
I think it's time to bring in Konoplyanka and revive our interest in Mkhitaryan.

We need a left back, a CB if we sell Agger this summer. A central midfielder, a wide man that could ideally play left and right and a third striker. I'd happily take Borini back as our fourth striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Similar to this with perhaps a decent backup to Mignolet and there is the RB situation with Johnson. Hopefully we just run his contract out and let him leave for free in 2016. He won't get a renewal it seems.
Its funny you bring this up mate, just the other day I was looking back on our board from before the start of the season and the expectations we're mental. Talking about hopefully getting 5th or 6th and then cracking on from there.
Whats happened this season is nothing short of amazing, lets get that clear. I'm proud of every single one of the players and Rodgers has to take many of the plaudits. To instil this kind of belief after 5 years of disappointment is fantastic, long may he be our manager.
As for where we could improve, obviously transfer dealings could be handled a bit better, be that through Ayre or the club, and I would like for the club to be aiming as high as they can in terms of possible transfer targets. Achieving champs league should ease that along though.

6 goals from 22 starts, so he has been OK without being brilliant.
RB is very important, there is something about Johnson recently that tells me is isn't fully commited and or fit.
There were rumours of Montoya which if possible, we should strive to get.
I do like the FSG policy of top quality youngsters, this has been such a revelation for us in recent years.
Coupled with the likes of Coady, Wisdom and Suso the future looks bright indeed. However i still think the Champions League is a step too far for them at the moment.
You have to also factor in that the below are shoe ins for World Cup:
Mignolet
Johnson
Sakho
Gerrard
Hendo
Sturridge
Suarez
Maybe's:
Sterling
Lucas
Coutinho
That is basically the full first team at the world cup so we need a larger squad to protect us from fatigue.
As has been said we need to have a quality squad that compete on all fronts and withstand 2 games a week throughout the season.
That being said I still think our first 11 could do with extra quality in some areas. I dont want us to buy squad players who will be viewed as second choice we have to bring in payers that will be genuinbe competition for what we have.
That will not be easy if £60mil is the figure and we are looking at 5-6 players. However our front four (who have been immense this season) cost a combine total of 43 mil so it is possible..just very difficult.
Another question....
should we be looking at Lallana as the extra attacking midfielder Rodgers wants? and if so how much would you be willing to pay?

7 assists too, so involved directly in 13 goals from 22 games.
--------
You just never know, Artur Petrosyan interviewed Miki and he said he was open to playing in the Premiership one day.
Lallana is another player I like, he have is all sorts of problems when we played Southampton. Actually there are quite a few Southampton players I like. Schneiderlin and Shaw along with Chambers.

Kono looks very exciting, I havent really seem him too often but the 2 games vs Spurs showed he definitely fits the bill for us.
Mkhi has been very involved as RAP has mentioned - If he was available we should go for it he offers a great versatility between midfield and that number 10 position.

what rap said.
and lallana nah f that, get better abroad for chepaer.
For me Lallana is a better Joe Allen - with a bit more attacking threat.
That being said, Joe Allen needs a stable season and then who knows.
we can forget about lallana, and so can man u.
quite simply, he's one of the stand out 'home grown' players that may be available in the summer.
man city are going to struggle to meet their home grown requirements, so they will want to buy players that already qualify, there's no point buying rubbish they won't use, taking up squad places. so I imagine lallana will be one of their top targets this summer.
no-one at man u, arsenal, Chelsea or us will be outbidding man city for him.
