Sl have done pretty well in Bangladesh. Won that series, then Asia cup where they beat India and now This wc.
Seems like they have got the confidence back of how to win against India because off late they have had really bad struggles against them.
India are in a spot of bother now. Havent won anything for a long time now and still needs to sort out lots of things before 2015 WC. their batting, bowling and spin bowling on conditions that are alien to our team.
MS has a lot to do. Wont be suprised if he gets bald by then.
Haven't won anything in a while? That weed you are smoking must be seriously strong. It has hardly been a year since you won the CT. And, if India had won today that would have meant three trophies in India's pocket. So, how you can come up with that conclusion I do not know.
in 6 -7 months we lost all series. India have been in a lot of pressure off late and somewhat have saved themselves especially the support staff, from being sacked because of poor results.
I was saying in general. Like the bilateral series that we have played we have won nothing and obviously the asia cup as well. thats why I went on to say that india have done pretty well to reach finals considering the form they came into this tournment.
India media Bla Bla Bla ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrr.Should accept defeat and praise Sri Lanka for a change... Banging on about yuvi, frankly soo what? How about malinga dropping a sitter of kohli- give credit to the champions Lanka and move on
Reports coming out of India that stones have been thrown at Yuvraj Singh's house after India's loss to Sri Lanka at the World T20 final..... Morons!!!
Agreed Afridi. I have been suprised how much flak Yuvi has got. Especially in the social media. Ok he struggled to hit the ball. say it once, but hey so did everyother batsman. Kohli himself was going at less then run a ball until his 40th run.
It was Lankas day and they played better. Now over to WC15 and now need to start looking at our pace attack that have always struggled in those conditions.
Look I am not Yuvraj's biggest fan, but people need to understand why he is in this situation. I don't think I have to mention what he went through, which meant taking time out of the game, thus taking a lot out of him as a cricketer. In truth I praise the guy for coming back and doing what he did. Most people, unfortunately, lose their battle; he won his and it proved there is more to life than cricket.
Adot- appreciate that. Think everyone does, but that's not an excuse or a reason to play the way he did today.
Viru- maybe a tactical error from Dhoni, they should have put raina or Dhoni himself ahead of yuvi today... ESP as quick runs were required.
Either way.. No need for the stone throwing.
India's problem was not Yuvi but more the over reliance on Kohli. Dhawan losing form was a big blow and the likes of Sharma and Rahane don't score enough to hurt sides. Having Dhoni so low down the order was also a waste.
sorry not been around to busy with LFC. anyway nice to see sri-lanka win.
India hold 2/3 cups... That will go down to 1/3 after 2015 World Cup... But back up to 2/3 again in 2016, where the T20 World Cup will be held in India
Agreed with Kash there. Dhawab was big blow.
And as usual Rohit not converting his starts to big scores and at a good pace.
Rohit has always only performed against WI and Bangladesh and that is exactly what he did here as well. Otherwise he has been very inconsistent.
Rahane seems to be struggling as well in the shorter formats. The good news for India though is Sehwag and gambhir are slowly coming back to form. What better than sehwag at his destructive best in WC15.

When did you start supporting LFC?
well about 1984 when I was about 6
just about remember the wobbly legs of brucie in the European cup final
don't really post much on here on the football threads.post on mainly Liverpool forums.. on here its not about football chat its about wumming another teams forum..
Agree England, the amount of wumming that goes on in football threads of Ja606 is a joke... Liverpool have a realistic chance now. If you boys beat city and then manage the nerves and pressure- you should be home and dry.
Adot, we've had off-field issues. Now sorted, Cellino has taken over and things can only get better from here- expecting big things next season... It's not like villa are getting away from us, mid-table wobblers, always have been always will be
Well done Sri Lanka, delighted they beat India
Am on a bit late but I was genuinely delighted with Sri Lanka beating us to an extent as I felt Mahela and Sanga definitely deserved a world cup win under their belt after their extraordinary services to Sri Lankan cricket over the years.
As for the game itself I never like apportioning blame on to players but Yuvraj was poor. He struggled to rotate the strike and ultimately when he got out had wasted the 21 deliveries where a more in form player would have upped the momentum and game in India's favour. However take nothing away from Malinga's death bowling which combined with Sri Lanka's fielding in general was excellent.
Nevertheless I fear as the Indian media may essentially end Yuvraj's career here as I have said it in the past and will say it again - a lot of us are very fickle and forget the good times when we lose. The mentality of the whole country has to change before we can move forward not only in cricket but on a world level in general. Stop the bitterness towards each other as some comments on here are mind boggling. Love and enjoy the game regardless of what area of the world your from and whatever country you may support.
Agreed Kev. TBH I think we will really need the services of the likes of Gambhir and yuvi in the next wc. he did look in awful form but, he has time to improve quite alot.
Having seen the likes of rohit sharma and some other young players I dont think they have it in them to do well in pressure situations. Champions trophy is one such example. I mean we won it, but more than anything England bottled it. Gambhir and Yuvi have so much experiance of playing good knocks.
I think personally for the WC we should go with:
Dhawan, Gambhir, Kohli, Yuvi, Raina, Dhoni, Jadeja, Ashwin, and three pacers. We still dont have 3 pacers for those conditions as proven by the odis in SA and NZ earlier this year.
Gambhir has the knack of playing really well in big matches and it will do India good if he came back into form.
Not too sure on Gambhir if I'm honest. He does like the big occasion but far too often in games his decision making has been poor to say the least. I don't think he has improved his "bat hang" outside the off stump especially against the swinging ball where he was very weak.
Yuvraj is another one who's future may be up for question if he fails to perform in the next few series' India play. Personally I feel India simply lack the bowling firepower to challenge down under for the world cup. We lack a premium fast bowler who can get us an important breakthrough at the start and end of the innings. Varun Aaron is the only Indian bowler who I can think of that consistently bowls 145+ but is woefully inexperienced and not the man we need. Zaheer's years are numbered and we all know about Ishant's woes in this Indian XI. I don't worry about our batsman though as there was more than enough evidence in that recent NZ series despite the loss that they can adapt.
