I also found myself stuck on a set of concrete steps on Tuesday. It was a difficult enough journey anyway, what with the roadworks and the jams in Barnsley, but it looked to me like they had sold more tickets than they had seat available. Quite why they couldn't open up a few more on the far side of the stand is a bit of a mystery.

I think also many assumed it was unreserved seating (as it has been before) but the stewards in the ground said it wasn't. Therefore when I reached my seat, arriving pretty much bang on kickoff, it was long since taken. In the confusion I had lost my companions so spent the first half just watching from the steps. Fortunately I got a text from FoxesTom8 at half time that there were spare seats next to him and so I spent the second half in a completely different part of the stand. It wasn't particularly well organised, and the stewards didn't look like they cared that much. Overall, I've had better trips to Oakwell over the years. (In a logistic sense, of course. )

TBF, there was a burst water main on Pontefract Rd. that night which impacted on congestion throughout town.

As for Oakwell's stewards, you'll find few, if any, Barnsley fans defending them...useless tozzers the lot of them.

You'll never play us again? You're going to yo yo between Prem and Championship, as we will between League 1 and Championship...you'll be back at Well before the end of the decade I assure you.

You were very, very good on Tuesday and good luck in the Prem, I fear you'll need an awful lot of it...
