Blue heaven I guess I asked for that but seriously they haven't played a game against top flight opposition all season so haven't been tested at that level

Every game for us is like a cup final
Being serious I actually agree with your general assessment i.e. united winning reasonably comfortably.
I'm very confident we'll win. McCoist will sit deep and play into our hands. They won't be able to cope with the pace that we play at after a season spent at walking pace.
A Utd off day and Rangers really up for it could see a drab draw before a replay at Tannadice.............
We have reached the semi final by beating all premiership teams, whilst in the league we have scored more goals than any other side in the division outside of Celtic, yes we have lost a few games this season as is only natural for a team with a very limited budget and a young team that was mostly put together over the summer once again
HBK there apparently are no replays in the semis but how much fun would that be if we asked for it to be played at Tannadice
As long as a ticket split is 50/50
Mind you last time you played Rangers they only brought a few fans
I predict United will win and that clown Ian Black will get sent off.
If United are in the right frame of mind then we should win, its hard to judge if Rangers have improved or are just adapting to their surroundings better this season.
We have 3 big games in the run in to the game, ICT, Aberdeen and then Celtic. If we perform well in these games our attitude should be fine, however hit another slump and it could be different......
If United score in the 1st 20 mins then it could be a great day I can see Ciftci putting in his finest performance of the season.
But I'll admit I will never be confident playing either of the OF I was sure last year was going to be a banana skin. But it didn't take the nerves long to settle

That could give you even more of an advantage - keeps the competitive edge at a higher level.
Keeps the players sharper.
We will be even less sharp as every game we have in the build up will be like a training session.
deBear, depends how we play in these games I think the turn around against St Mirren was very very important, if we'd lost 2 home games in a row at home then the confidence would have taken a hit.
But like you said Rangers can't really test themselves before the game.....................great
