Don't understand why our defence always goes to bits in the big games
---------------

Quite simply we don't have any threat up top against those teams so we try to dominate the midfield by pushing the defence to hold a higher line. Mert, Areteta etc are too slow to hold a high line and we torn apart on the counter.

The first 3 goals were all from counter attacks.

Someone's still bitter :

Tottenham winger Andros Townsend: Who thinks we will see another selfie from Wojciech Szczesny after today's game?

that actually is funny, didn't think it annoyed the Spurs players that much

All our best match winners are injured. Walcott, Ozil, ramsey. But I agree we definitely need more big game players, and a proper striker!

"selfie" the most brilliant inspiration to come out of the modern world hahahaa

Wenger and your board should have addressed injury situation in january.

This is just beyond disappointing. I don't even know the words to describe this defeat.

We've over achieved this season massively, one average striker and small injury ravaged squad.

the squad is not small. We just have crap options up front

Wow...this thread is a long way down on your board...

Problem is match winners. You don't have them. As a team you play well and look very good against lower teams but when things go against you, you need the special players to get you out of those problems.
-------------------------
great points. The thing is when I looked at that lineup Wenger actually tried to go for it, something Fergie tried so many times against Barca and failed. If he had played Flamini and droped Podolski none of this would have happened at chelsea have been struggling to create chances.

At the end of the day, I hope it makes him realise that some of his players arent starting material but I hope he perseveres with them as squad players.I thought Gibbs also had a shocker at the start, cant have been helped by that starting midfield.

Carzola and Chambo were shocking

How have we over achieved?

We are behind the teams that are better than us and above the teams who aren't, except for City.

Conceding 15 goals away to the 3 teams we are supposed to be competing with is a total disgrace and proves that Wenger doesn't know how to win the big games any more, he should do the right and honourable thing and leave at the end of the season.

never mind WIN......we don't even facking compete!!!!

We're a bit thin at the back, woefully short up front, and while our midfield is completely rammed full they're all injured or don't work together...

We threw away the league in january. We all saw it would happen, but the club were either to thick or just didn't care.

Walcott injury for the season was a key turning point. Such a massive player for us, we were already thin with attacking options. Its criminal that we didn't go out for a big buy in january.
