It's strange because when we weren't doing too well he was positive and now we're doing well, he's negative. What a strange person.

but im not negative about the team as a whole, just a few players.

I feel like we are going in circles

I keep predicting 2-2s in the prediction thread, but I don't want to explain why inxase it fecks up my superstition.. or will thisbhave just done that :/

Did Lucas and Skrtel strip you and your friend naked and make you race, whilst they threw bundles of cash at you, to make you run faster?

I think we are a better team without Enrique.

He's a good player, but results and performances have improved since he has been out. One of one with his strength and power he is excellent, but his unpredictability on the ball and penchant for losing possession means I think he's a player that is far from being a shoe in as a first team starter. As said, I think we have played better football this season without him.

I think buying a LB should be one of the priorities in the summer. I doubt we will spend the type of money Southampton will be looking to get for Shaw though.

flanagan has grown on me but yesterday made me want enrique back asap

I think cissokho is better in his positioning defensively, but hes just so awful on the ball.

Our results and performances have improved but that has nothing to do with Enrique being out, simply as a team they have learned much better how to play in the systems Rodgers puts out. If Enrique came in for Flanagan, we'd be much better.

His unpredictability on the ball is what gets him assists. He often mops up in defence, playing his way out, to keep position, rather than just blasting the ball up the pitch. Yes this can lead to problems but if it's done right, especially when the team are comfortable in the system as they are now, this will lead to us and as you say, him, losing possession less and being able to build more attacks.

Enrique is one of the best left backs in the league bot defensively and offensively and I can't see who we could get in who is better.

cissokho makes me wish flanno was playing who makes me wish enrique was playing

rodgers will sort it in the sumner

flanno ( dont think he will be long term starter, bt I love hiss passion and hard work)

-----

Whilst I agree he's not amazing. Nor does he do much in the attacking sense (he does enough I would say). I hate that no one remarks on his ability to read the game.

Fair enough he had a bad game yesterday... But even for the second goal Daniel Agger got roasted by Campbell. It happens, a lot more frequently to younger players due to their inexperience.

I think saying his only attributes are his passion and work rate is a complete insult. I have passion and hard work, does that mean I'm good enough to play for Liverpool?

iCraft;

He is also a surprisingly good passer of the ball.

Didn't have his best game yesterday though.

no, hisnattack game ect isnt great, doesnt mean I hate the lad, injust thinknrodgers will look to buy someone, be might not, just my opinion.

one thing I have noticed about flanagan isnhis, one touch passing is very very good, better than when he has time

strange he got switched to lb after johnson had been there recently

I believe it's a position Rodgers will look to strengthen.

This will tell us if he rates Enrique as one of the left backs in the league or not.

Carragher sums up the negatives about in Enrique for me in one sentance "I had no idea what he was going to do". For me this is his problem. When you think he's going to pass he runs with it and passes it when he should be running with it.

In a one on one situation he's brilliant, but at other times he makes very strange decisions with the ball. Running into trouble with his head down being the one in particular which makes me grind my teeth.

I'd agree with that Paisley's

he's unpredictable

however, I'm never worried he will be exposed, lose the ball, be outmuscled or be responsible for losing us the match. He's an unpredictable (as a fault) rock of a defender AFAIK

I was hoping for that since Johnson came back. Flanagan is just as good defensively at left back as he is at right back and just as poor offensively. Whilst Johnson is better defensively and offensively at right back. So it makes me sense.

yeah, was thinking maybe bexause of bellamys pace aswell

The English see not knowing what a player is going to do as a weakness but it's not, it's a plus. You just have to have more intelligent players who understand the system.

Nobody has a clue what Suarez is gonna do but it's seen as a plus then.

Defensively Enrique is excellent and I believe in the current system with the team understanding it a lot more, he'll be much better offensively.

nah carra was an intelligent defender, enrique notnso much, but hes got the pace and power to try and cover that
