We will need a few quality additions to the squad for the CL. Maybe Borini could still do a job for us.
Would each of them get as many goals without the other?
==========================================
Seem to have both carried on scoring when the other wasn't playing, so yes.
Obviously you would prefer them to both on the field at the same time, but as you say, with an extra amount of games, it might not always be possible.
If we get into the champions league, we will obviously strengthen, and look to bolster our squad for the extra games we will obviously be playing.
Hopefully along with the draw of playing for Liverpool, the current and more overriding ambition of most quality players to play in the champions league, will see a better standard of player arriving at the club.
We will need to buy a top attacking player IMO preferably someone versatile and who could come in handy when we need to switch around. Suarez and Sturridge can still play together in a large portion of games. I think its a matter of strengthening the squad and clever management of the squad thereafter. If we strengthen well I trust BR to have us doing well again next season.
we didn't have them together for quite some time this season, 4 games for saurez suspension, then studge's injury. so we've already had to work around them not both playing in all of the games.
If we strengthen in the right areas over the summer then we'll get on with it like everyone else I guess....
Don't think the domestic cups will see full strength teams next season, it'll be prem and CL for us!
Might see one on the bench (more likely Sturridge) just before/after a CL game against weaker opposition. Hopefully we'll have our defence sorted next year so we won't need them both to be scoring 2+ every game for us to win!
They don't really both have to score as many goals (although I am sure they will if fit).
We are beginning to add more goals around the team, and the likes of Coutinho, Henderson, Sterling all have the potential to score more in the future.
Add some more goals from midfield and another talented attacker to back them up and we will he fine even if individually or as a pair they don't net quite as many.
Suarez can play every day of the week and still would get tired
BR has been trying to buy another player that can play in that front 3.
I think Sterling is great in there but we need back up if we are challenging in all competitions.
I think we'll see sterling adding to his goals next season, I get the feeling he's just going to get much better, being around 2 strikers of that quality can only be a good thing at this stage in his career.
I'd like to see coutinho start getting them on target, we all know the types of ball he can supply, just needs to add a bit of polish to his shooting.
