Is it not logical? What if AW says he not going to sign contract in June? We need Manager from pre-season tour not bloody 2 weeks in to new season. I think Board and AW waiting on FA cup outcome. Atleast AW in that instance.
If we don't win the FA then I will be absolutely shocked if he didn't call it a day
No matter what we think, it's going to be difficult to appoint quality manager. Trust me, pursuing Klopp is not as easy as people thinking. Some people are so easy saying yeah if AW departs we will have Klopp etc...we are not bloody Real or Barca to attract any manager in the world. It may be uphill task for Board and I hope they act quick and get this sorted before we end up in situation like Lpool 3 years ago.
i maybe incorrect but i have a hunch, Wenger himself will call it a day if it's another trophy-less season. well see.
I have to be honest, I read every supporters boards on this forum as I like to have interesting debates, but the Arsenal fans on here come across as the most fickle, spoilt and childish fans in the land when it comes to things like this. At the start of the sesson Arsene Wenger was the best thing since sliced bread, now every other article is a Wenger out article. This man has taken Arsenal on to the next level both on and off the field. Do you fans honestly believe that it is your god given right to win the title every year ? Just be glad you are not in Cardiff Cities position, with the owners they have, then you realy would have something to cry about.
Why Fickle, we are only judging our manager on his recent merits, that being 8 years or so.
The thing is, Arsenal are a top club and because of that we naturally want to compete with the best at the very HIGHEST level and yes we want the title and not to be thrashed by the top 3 and also humiliated. we keep coming up short, season after season to compete right at the top.
can you blame us for this, no!. football is now setup as massive big business, a new stadium was built by us to send out a message. i'm sure if a super league was formed we would expect to be in it and competing. we are not Cardiff City.
put that all to 1 side for now, what we wont tolerate is a team and a bunch of players that just don't turn up, they might actually blame it on the time of day LOL. these footballers are earning top wonger for their profession playing at Arsenal so we expect a lot more from them.
IMO, the buck stops with the manager in any business, if he can't get his staff motivated and operating slickly, he will lose business and eventually be sacked by the higher ups. to add to that, some managers will come in and turn things around in their day but managers have a shelf life also unless they adjust with time and maybe they can go on until the very end. wenger repeats the same mistakes season after season.

At the start of the season we lost 3-1 to villa at home and had only signed yaya sanogo and flamini for free, fans were calling for his head, what has changed?

my point, same mistakes time after time
Then you signed Ozil, then all of a sudden everything was rosey, you were top of the league and Wenger was the messiah, now look at the lot of you, every other article is a Wenger out article, I hope you all get your way, because any manger who loses Ramsey, Walcott and the raft of other players to injury would not do any better.
Yeah, because us getting injuries every season is clearly something Wenger and his staff have no control over. We definitely don't overplay players, and injuries are always an external factor, and our small squad helps this so much, and let's sign an injured player in January to help cover.
