Manu fans don't like the trurth. That's why they make up their own versions of the truth for every single thing they do (see Evra)
It's never their fault!
The PL will not suffer if United continue to falter. Only a fool would not be able to see that.
=================================
Revised and improved version.
Read a the language he uses. One edge of his imaginary sword he says people compete in this competition (which is "put on" every season). No s__t sherlock. On the other edge of the sword his imaginary sword he expresses his concern that man Utd not winning it affects the brand.
The impication is that manu not winning costs them money, which can be construed as being bad for the league which he represents. Regardless of this fact, It hardly sounds impartial does it. For a man in his position it was a stupid thing to say.

How does the balance of United's poor season/better competion mean less money or a worse brand? And where did Scudamore say this?
It's what he said, a balance, you've completely made up any claim of the league being damaged.
He is just stating that so many bandwagon ManU supporters around the world will stop watching and therefore the viewing figures / TV income will be down. Can't say that bothers me one bit.

"When your most popular club isn't doing as well, that costs you interest and audience in some places."
When you have lost interest, you receive less money, that's the way the world works, hence advertising being massive globally. Interest creates income. Just because he doesn't paint you a lovely picture and actually say Man United doing badly costs us money, you can't read what he's saying? Does everything have to be spoon fed to you? Does your mummy still do aeroplane sounds as she spoon feeds you, your mash?
FFS use your brain. It's obvious what he's saying and he's correct, in my opinion. However he shouldn't have said it. It leaves people with doubts over what his intentions were/are.

Where's the balance.?
He says they "put on a competition". They do that every season don't they?
He also says people can compete in this competition. Wow, I never would have guessed.
He also says that "When your most popular club isn't doing as well, that costs you interest and audience in some places." and There are lots of fans around the world who wish Manchester United were winning it again,"
I also used the word implication, but you obviously don't know what that means.
It's a one sided butter knife of a comment, not a double edged sword. He should shut up and keep his butter knife to himself
The PL could always allow united to move to africa or asia, they can make up the money that way. Then they can have their one game a season abroad they've been talking about for all our other teams.
"... No doubt they will just attach on to the next successful team..."
This.
Is he also saying that Man Utd fans are club hopping plastics?

Picking and choosing quotes to suit yourself is poor form.
I could also pick a quote and make it look like he's saying United's poor season is better for competition therefore better for the league.
But if you put all the quotes together, as intended, you'll realise Scudamore is merely explaining what everybody had been saying, which is more people will enjoy the competition to balance out the United fans decreased interest.
Stop using tabloid tactics and see the whole picture.
Picking and choosing quotes? I used the quote which described what you were disputing. Would you like me to use one of the other quotes instead, which doesn't describe it?
I remember when I was a student too, when I was asked a question, I answered it and used an extract from the text I read, with a quote unrelated to what my answer was...yes, that makes sense.
You'd make a good ostrich. I see you burying your head in relation to Moyes being crap and also this issue.
United were chosen as the brand to promote the PL/sky rebrand in 1992,scudamore is a mouth piece for the money men,a patsy if you like.
Murdoch wanted to buy them, says it all.

Go on then.
Tbf Ruiney is a sensible poster and might be right. However its bad for someone in that position to be talking this way. When big teams underperform it is always going to affect viewing figures. We all thought CL would miss us but this wasn't the case.

Now as for this little outburst:
"This is nothing new, they're been trying to help United to the title for years, refereeing performances in their favour shows that. Old Whisky escaping bans etc."
Which of Scudamore's words caused this little rant?

I don't read newspapers. You just trot that line out as you have nothing else to say. Since you've already tried to dispute the meaning of his words and been proven wrong, you're now using your last option - ridicule the person who proved you wrong.
It's not working
Which of his words? I've told you already. He has stated that it's bad for the league that United are doing badly, in regards to income. Whether that was innocent or not, it creates the doubt, which will be heightened when United get their next favourable decision.
Git ya mobiles airplanes and lap tops aauuuurrrttt.
