I agree with whats needed.
Is this likely to happen with LVG? Do you think he will know the squad well or just bring in his own players?
Cant see number 4 working too well

The following link takes you to an article that says that LVG believes in his coaching abilities and would not seek wholesale changes to our squad.

Levy only needs to look at LVG's CV and note his age (62) and realise that someone as experienced and as successful as LVG should be given his on head.
like it gezza-spurs, this is my biggest worry about a new manager coming in is make massive changes to the squad.
That is why I have been backing tim although I do feel a bit more deflated after the liverpool game.
I personally think the 7 players will bought will still come good.
We desperately need a new left back and centre half and I would rather us spend our whole summer budget on just these two positions.

I read your comments in a Jack Dee voice, Galv - they're brilliant. I recommend you talk this way if you don't already

I hope the deal for LVG is already done and he is already casting his eye over our squad and sussing out what needs to be done in the summer.
Hopefully he could be unveiled immediately after the World Cup, and he gives Baldini a list of players we need.
Ive read 2 stories about van gaal today. First hes gonna explore his options, not 1 quote in the story. Second he wont change much in our squad, not 1 quote in that either
I personally dont see him coming but ya never know
If he watched Tottenham get yet another mauling on the weekend he might have decided to go to one of the big clubs instead
