Of course it won't, that would be illegal
I don't think a pitch invasion can be pre-planned. Not only would it be very difficult to organise (the club and police would find out), but it's only really effective when it'd done as a spontaneous thing anyway. Given our lead, it doesn't look like it's going to be down to the wire. If an injury time goal against Doncaster was to nick promotion/the title at the last gasp, that would be a moment of elation and I could imagine a pitch invasion. Aside from that, it's too forced.
Agreed dunge although if you look back over the last few years it's seems the norm. Fans celebrating with players.
Likewise with open top bus tours through the City. I always feel these are a little 'manufactured'. We seem to have one most years back in the 90s following play-off wins and league up wins.
Personally, I think they should plan a massive event for the Doncaster game (assuming it is all done and dusted by then) with fans invited to stay behind after the game for an hour of celebration including parading the trophy (if we hang on to top spot), fireworks, general merriment.
Then we should let the players go on holiday and we can all start dreaming about next year.
Hopefully this March to the Stadium idea grows for the last game.
That would indeed be great.
