I know nothing about the various smart phones. Whats wrong with an iphone? I hear people bash them all the time, but it just seems thats the cool thing to do these days.

Does anyone have the HTC m8? Any good?

i got the gold 5s and i love it, but not going to pretend it's the best.

However its the best for me as i am not keen on massive screens. And it just works smoother than anything else. And the camera is stunning, especially the slow motion video recording which is awesome if you like me have kids and like to record them doing stupid things.

Iphones mess up regularly, battery life pretty poor.

iPhones are fine. People who bash them are just trying to seem alt. I'd personally wait for the galaxy s5.

Yep, i've not experienced anything wrong with my old iPhone 4 and now 5 either.

Poor battery, annoying accessories (model specific chargers etc), impossible to customise anything unlessyou jailbreak them, after a few years the software updates cripple your phone "oh Iit's time to get a new one"

They are actually good but have a fair few negatives.

Nexus 5 cost me £339 for a 32GB one. Half the price of an iPhone but can't see there is much difference between the two

Yeah I have the 5 and prior to that the 4 and the 3. Never had a different smart phone as I received the iphones as gifts, so no need to invest the time and effort looking elsewhere.

Is the battery life that different on other phones? I charge once a night usually on the iphone. Use it as a wee laptop most of the evening and stream radio and music during the day. I rarely have a battery problem.

Iphone is a chavvy phone lol. Android is the best

Model specific chargers is a cheap copout. They've moved onto better chargers/data transferring connections. There are cheap adapters. People who have 6 year old models should really upgrade anyway.

Cheers. Like I said, never any issues with the battery life, but don;t know how much longer other phones batteries will last.

I have no need for customising a phoen....what does that even entail??

I like the plug socket part of the iphone charger as it also works for most other usb leads, such as the kindle I have.

Androids start out wonderful. Then 3 months later the bugs appear. After a year they're awful. That was my experience with 2 of them. The droid x was fantastic until it wasn't.

The galaxy has seemingly improved. May go with that when it's released.
