I am very happy with the signing of Ward and Fielding, but signing Robinson leaves me scratching my head and wondering why.
I cant comment on Maguire and Bryson time will tell, signing these players will be a gamble.
I would love us to sign Shackall but if it becomes a bidding war we will not get him.
What I can tell you is this season will be very important, this is make or break.
If we finish in the top eight then progress as been made, if we finish in the bottom half Nigel will depart the club.
Apparently radio derby have reported that tyson is at moor farm having a medical today, i havent personally heard this myself, has anybody else?
Yes. Bryson and Tyson both at Moor Farm.
Bryson and Tyson - a rhyming couplet?
oo-er missus
Would be great to end the Tyson will he sign or won't he sign finally btu he has a lot of making up to the derby fans if he does. And I think you have hit the nail on the head Mark with what Nigel has to do to keep his job. I know some people who work for Derby and the rumours are that they are expecting top 6 or bye bye Nigel.
The players signed so far don't indicate a top 6 position to me. If we hadn't them though I think we would have been definite relegation candidates.
Don't think we should sign Tyson though, not because of his flag waving activities. Can't understand the fuss made when players give the fans back a bit of what the fans give them. If you can't take it don't dish it out. I just think he wont add any extra to the side. His record on goals and injuries at Forest doesn't make him look the most attractive signing.
My view (currently) is that we're heading towards a team that may not hit the highs of this season, but will probably avoid the painful lows. In short, a more reliable & consistent unit. I feel that a top 10 finish would be within our grasp. And, for those of you hoping for it, sorry to disappoint you, but I don't believe Nigel is going anywhere.
mid table at best unless spend serious money
I agree with Paulc. Sorry Moj, don't agree with you. Nigel has to deliver this season or else. He will have had time and money (?!) this summer.
Slick hasn't necessarily said as much but reading between the lines this is his last chance to prove his worth.
As long as we give them Red dogs down the A52 a game next season, i will be happy
So that represents the pinnacle of your season then - playing 'quite well' against Forest ??
Your lofty ambitions are indeed there to be admired
isn't nc contract up end next season, surely wont be renewed unless midtable or above, must see improvement
Ramsfanbaz: It's true, I've imported my boundless optimism to JA606!
Seriously though, I think we'll improve on this season's finish, and indeed the previous one.
