Expectations..

No but if he can do what the likes of Benteke & Lukaku have done in the EPL at some point then it would be pleasing, world class though... doubt it

Thing is, why is there any expectation for him to do well?

Reality is he's just an injury prone free player from Ligue... the only reason anyone took any notice of his signing was because our striking options and summer transfer window was/are so pathetic.

Lukaku and Benteke are a million miles ahead of him. I believe hes older than Lukaku and a year or two younger than Benteke and his development in terms of ability is no where near the two.
Not the quality that this club deserves.

I can't get excited about him at all. When he's announced in the squad or comes off the bench I'm completely indifferent. Contrast that to the likes of Januzaj and Stirling who have been earmarked as future world beaters and there is a great buzz for them.

At one point I even had more excitement for bloody Frimpong than I do now for Sanogo.

Hope he proves me wrong though.

Our recruitment is done purely on lowest price possible while sacrificing quality

He was free.

Says it all really

No, he will be like another Bendtner. Decent on the odd occasion, but just not good enough for a club like this. Of course I hope he becomes a world beater for us but it won't happen.

Actually from Ligue 2 or whatever they call it.

Sanogo has "Diaby 2" written all over him.

I think Gnabry will be a very good player.

I don't see why people are discussing the terms 'world class'. No-one thought Bale would become 'world class', and everyone thought Rooney would be.

Sanogo has slightly different attributes to Benteke/Lukaku in that his physical shape is that bit slender, but I think he might offer more pace than those two. When I have seen him of late he shows a willingness to do a variety of things- come short to hold the ball up, fight with the centre halves, pull wide and make the runs in behind. Kid has 'potential'. Lets not talk world class. What's the point.

Sanogo is going to be the next Henry. The way he bullied Liverpool and Bayern defenders says it all!

Every time I watch him he looks like Bambi on ice. Does not seem to have any footballing attributes at all. Just can't see him making it.

Sanogo is talented. If we'd paid ten million for him you'd rate him higher.

He scored a perfectly good goal against Everton, too.

No wumming. He's a player who's been known about for a few years. He's got a knack for scoring good goals. Don't write him off on the basis that he's not world class at the same age as other players.

This is why we wont win anything. With fans accepting less than average players into one of the worlds biggest clubs. You're deluded.

What, because I recognise a young talent as a young talent? I'm not saying I want him starting, only that I can see how he could become an excellent player.

Not a chance! He might end up a decent player for a mid table team, he doesn't excel in any area and to be honest without trying to come across like a I cannot see how anyone believe he's gonna be good enough for us based on performances thus far.
