Liverpool getting top four may depend on keeping hold of BR and Suarez and adding some players to improve the first team.

I think one of BR or Suarez would go so lets see. Arsenal if they spend would be good contenders for top four next season.

I dont think tottenham are near enough consistent to get into the top 4 or have enough financial power when you have to compete with the massive investment of united this summer. This season was just a blip considering ferguson leaving and alot of the old guard players declining. Van gaal will improve you but i just dont see how everton and tottenham are compete. As for liverpool im sure theyll stay in the top 4. Most of their players are young and will only improve and suarez will surely stay after their succrss this year. Also they will obviously invest with the champions league money on new players to deal with the added games

I don't think Brendan Rodgers will leave Liverpool. He seems quite passionate about them and I can see him being there a long time unless things go downhill and he gets sacked.

Eriksen is showing his true worth now, just need soldado and lamela to do so and we'll potentially be closer to it. Although that depends on whether wenger finally spends his money wisely or buys more midfielders with the same traits and quality as he's already got...

I think BR will definitely stay, and unless we get a ridiculous offer for Suarez he will be staying too, especially now that Liverpool are in the Champions League. Liverpool need to add quality in depth to the squad, ifthey can do that I can see us hanging in the top four places(but not chalenging for the title) next year and having a good run in the CL.

... We'd also need 2 or 3 very good players this summer.

No disrespect but if say Barca come calling BR would be on his way. Barca haven't had a good year and would be out looking for a new manager...

I hope he stays though. Plays good football and our league would be worse off if he isn't there.

Top 4 isn't guaranteed by any stretch under Moyes, no matter who we buy. We could ahve the best 11 squad in the world but with Moyes in charge, we would still struggle in the big games (or against anyone from 8th or 9th in the table upwards) due to an underdog mentality that stretched from the manager right the way through the squad. The problem is that underdogs are underdogs for a reason - becaus ethey are inferior to their opponents. Is that the mentality that our players should be going out onto the field with? Well, results speak for themselves.

Spurs will be in or around 5th again next season I reckon, we're not gonna invest enough to compete. It is what it is, we will always have the net spend and lack of major funds holding us back but I'm fine with that.

Not that money can guarantee anything you see that with the Bale money. Unless the club is willing to pay massive wages we will never compete for signing the top players. We'd have to pay way over the odds and its not going to happen.

As for the top teams, I would love to see Everton get top 4 this season and City to win the title

United fans still living in the past!

Fergie was the x-factor. He was able to get more out of some pretty average players than anyone. He made the difference.

WHat little UTd have achieved this season is inspite of Moyes, the inherent quality in the squad has seen them through, but that can only take you so far and its the manager who brings it all together to reach the top.

Moyes looks like 'little boy lost' and with what will probably be a major rebuild in the summer, United will start next season with half a new team...we saw how well that went for Spurs this season.

Spurs do need to add some players, but in 2 or 3 key areas...our new players will have that bit more experience for next season and we can expect them to improve .

No one has a god given right to be top 4, and just because you are Man Utd it does not mean you'll be back up there after this 'blip'

LFC had a blip and then went missing for 4 seasons.

I don't expect Spurs to make the Top 4 next season but expect a better challenge than this season. Not sure Utd can expect too much more tbh.

Wish people would get it right...

'Atletico' not Athletico'. Sorry for being pedantic, it just winds me up.

If Barca go for a new manager it will be Bielsa. I see Martino getting another year and a few pounds to spend as well.

I've never seen a manager be built up so quickly as Brendan Rodgers. People need to slow down FFS

He has clearly done a good job at Liverpool but quite a few of his transfers have been duds and he hasn't dealt with an injury crisis yet. With Gerrard another year older and Suarez likely off to Munich it will be a whole different challenge.

last 4 years have been 4th 5th 4th 5th. it makes you think. if it wasn't for the emergence of man city, spurs would be an established CL side now, with the players and revenues to match.

the timing of city's investment totally faaacked us

I've got this feeling that Man Utd, especially without European distractions which is looking likely to be the case, will be back in there come the end of next season.

Not with Moyes they wont

Anyone know the situation and permutations of the Europa League places this season? Like, if Arsenal win the FA cup that creates an extra place etc?

I disagree

Rodgers has reiterated many times that he hopes to build a legacy here, not dart off as soon as more money is thrown his way.
