What's the pitch like Hope ? stuck at work and can't see or listen to what's going on. Seems like it's been a pretty easy for hour or so.

Thanks Neon, we'll be nice and put it down to a bit of both then.

It's pretty easy paced but that could be because they are not very speedy bowlers. Strauss did get a short ball from Ishant that almost got through his helmet and onto his forehead. Very lucky boy he wasn't injured.
53-0.

Neon, you are a terrible wum, but i do like your gallows humour.

Back in the terrible 90s I'm sure most england fans would be heard with the odd quip regarding our pedestrian attack.

Cheers Hope, sounds like a good day for batting, although weather will play a part later today i hear and is starting to cloud over in South London.

750 for no loss.

That's fast scoring too.

Lunch 75-0, pretty comfortable for the openers.

Is this the same RIP Singh that toured England in 2007?

Looks as if it could rain for most of the day. India's only hope for a draw is the weather.

It is, Del Mar.

Slower with the ball and rounder by the waist from the sounds of it.

RP Singh has just created a new world record according to bumble & co at sky...... 68 overs in test cricket without picking up a wicket and counting..... Interesting stat of the day!

Bloody rain

In honour of swamy, shall we discuss food?

A cheese & onion sandwich for me at lunch. Bad breath but mighty tasty

Chris Woakes 7 for 20 in 15 overs. Just another young Lion waiting in the wings. India eat your heart out.

Indeed even during the southampton test and lords tests against sri-lanka the weather up here was dry and could have had full tests matches.

know-it-all,

In all seriousness you cant blame the ecb/organisers for that - just wouldnt know that kind of information about the weather.... heads or tails mate!! Besides, the indian bowlers can have a well deserved rest after the amount of overs they have put in this series....

true! wont matter anyway we only need 50 overs to win..

There has definitely been a southern biased this summer.
