Not like you Batty, to miss the most important development in our journey back to the promised land.

2020, 49ers link up will pale into insignificance with our already fruitful Botafogo link up.

Browninho might even make World Cup.

I'm not prepared to contemplate any dimming of the Haigh legacy, Jonty

2020, you'll have to take that up with Haigh then as he has been self dimming!

Here is what his website says about his hugely influential time at Leeds:

"As Managing Director of Leeds United Football Club, David Haigh is responsible for overseeing all business operations at the Championship club. In the post since July 2013, and a director since 2012, David has driven fundamental changes in the club; attendance and tickets sales have significantly increased and he has spearheaded the club’s work in the local community. He has forged many new partnerships with local and international businesses, along with the community as a whole through initiatives such as ‘Taking it to the Kids’ where Primary School children in the city were given the chance to study football and health education courtesy of the club’s charitable trust, the Leeds United Foundation.

In addition to his financial and legal expertise, David brought a wealth of business experience to the football club. In his role as MD he led a campaign for the club to re-engage with its fans, and his excellent relations with supporters and different supporter groups has been a feature of his tenure."

Yet now, in his resignation statement, he is vastly underhyping the sort of influence that brought cheer to many a fan still fondly clutching their fans forum tickets:

"In addition to all this I had to deal with and manage what can only be described as the crazy situation of very limited support from those who should have supported the club and the management, whilst at the same time having little or no decision making ability."

Only the best self dim.

He will join a hall of fame, alongside greats like PR and KB - colossi amongst men. Though only he managed to get the 49ers onboard

That link is a bit old now, it was put up about.............well, that long ago.

Maybe the 49ers have been monitoring all our losses recently and silently severed all ties.

Haven't heard nothing about'em since the link was first put up.

Can't be so. This was a key David Haigh initiative, surely you are not trying to tell me it was all hot air and no substance behind it?
