Not guilty of over celebrating on this occasion.
This is the best game I have seen him play for goodness knows how long. The only reason I'm reluctant for him to get sold is because he is a very good finisher. The best finisher we have for that matter
A strange player, capable of performances like that but why on earth doesn't he do that week in week out
Podolski has the finishing ability of a 30 goal a season striker.
A shame he has the stamina of an asthmatic pregnant elephant
because of days not like this one
If you've actually WATCHED Arsenal play this season you'll see why people think he's surplus to requirements.
Stats don't even tell half the story.
Actually after the 2nd leg of Bayern game, my mind was made up of him staying. He's frustrating but has so much quality in final third at same time.
12 goals in 23 games this season
*************************************
how many games he could play 90 minutes?
how many games he just came in as subs?
Keep him as our impact sub, can't afford to lose a finisher like him if we want to challenge next season.
He's worth keeping just for his finishing ability, if he had better movement he'd score so many goals. He has a lot of anonymous games but you still know he'll score if he gets a chance.
He's not quite good in enough but we have far more pressing areas to address and no decent alternative. Therefore shipping him out isn't wise unless we somehow get two quality players, one first teamer and a back up for his position while also sorting out so many other problems in the squad.
Yeah really and truly we should be keeping this team together and adding to it rather than replacing apart from the obvious deadwood like Nicky B, Viviano (loan return), Fab (contract)
Podolski is a good impact player and actually his bad form comes when we overplay. He'd be great at an attacking team like Liverpool for example. Keep him as an impact player I say although if we brought a top winger in with Joel Campbell being back up it wouldn't be the worst but Poldi is a great option to have
We need to find a way to play Podolski because of his lethal finishing ability and quality crossing - but he can't play centre forward as the ball doesn't stick, he has no pace, no stamina and doesn't track back well - it's difficult...
