A few years back they were on the verge of bankrupcy but their new owners came in and bought the debt off.
Now too me this is buying the league.

Do everyone a favour and just kill yourself Deen.

Nah!!!! I am on here to annoy people like you......
money is the biggest factor in success
Arsenal, Manu, Liverpool, Chelsea and City have all spent filthy amounts of money to be at the top or near it.
None, not one of those clubs has 'earned' or 'deserved' the disgusting amounts of money they spent to be there.
It's all dirty money from corporations trying to flog useless products disguised as 'prize' and 'tv' and 'sponsorships'. Practically none of it comes from grass roots, honest cash.
This is not true. A few years back they were on the verge of bankrupcy but their new owners came in and bought the debt off.
------
Actually that's not true..
FSG paid the debt that Hicks and Gillet had and in return received Liverpool for free.
Man utd have bought the league as well. Have you seen their debts?
Only arsenal can boast about being successful without financial backing
There's a huge difference between what Liverpool spent to go from mid table to possible title winners and the money spent by oil & oil jr.
No offence Deen, but your Liverpool related articles make you out as a bitter, deluded, ignorant individual.
Support your own club and leave the criticisms of other clubs to one side.
@Cunni, in fairness to City and Chelsea, they get bent over in the xfer market and most times have to pay double a players worth just to get them.
When you pull up in a Bentley wearing a £10k suit and a half mil watch, haggling on price isn't really going to work.
I also don't see any youth success within their first teams at City or Chelsea and this further highlights the difference between their approaches.

Our debt has absolutely nothing to do with the footballing side of our club
It wasn't generated by players, their wages or anything that would realistically constitute buying the league
Besides, why is buying the league considered a bad thing? It adds variety to the league. And lets be honest - if it weren't for Chelsea's investment in the mid 2000s, it'd have been boring as hell for the neutral with United winning it year after year.

Most of Arsenal's turnover in recent years has come from match revenue and player sales. In football I can't really think of many more "honest" ways to earn money than that.
I'm also not against Liverpool and City in particular winning the league due to money. Their money is transforming their club, and Liverpool have always been partial to playing 'youth' players and giving them a chance, and with City investing heavily in to their academy, it can only be good for the future of the sport to have players coming through high level academies.
The way H&G treated LFC was a disgrace (so much so I joined Spirit of Shankly) so when FSG came in I think most would agree that this was to the benefit of the PL as a whole and not just LFC.
side point, we were bankrupt but it wasn't from trying to 'buy the league'
It was from H&G's high interest loans that were put on the clubs' debt to buy the club in the first place.
Pool have spent their fair share.
I'm not against Liverpool THE TEAM winning it. But if they did, Liverpool THE FANBASE would be unbearable. Nine years later they're still going on about their Champions League win.
But on the other hand, their winning it would finally wake up Wenger from his delusions. After all, he's convinced himself that the only reason he's not succeeding is because of those naughty men with lots of oil money.
Liverpool winning it with less resources than us would shake him to the core.
But on the other hand, their winning it would finally wake up Wenger from his delusions.
I doubt that very much

Trust me, if Arsenal ever went on to win the Champions League your fans would be taking about it 10 years later too.
Don't your fans still talk about "the Invincibles"? That was over 10 years ago.
you have an invincibles 'gold trophy' and we own a 'real big ears'
both were from a decade ago, we've both done not much since, and we both talk about those trophies fairly often still because they're huge acheivements most watched happen.
let's
Arsenal are a credit to football, 109 years of never buying a single player.
