Molineux is a bigger stadium as it holds over 3000 more fans. Pretty simple really.

However here is another interesting fact:

Molineux - 31,700 capacity - 28,598 highest attendance this season - 90.2% full

The Hawthorns - 28,003 capacity - 26,586 highest attendance this season - 94.9% full

Albions highest attendance filled The Hawthorns more than Wolves' highest attendance filled Molineux. All that is not important though because what is important is what happens on the pitch and Albion are still in a higher division.

Well what can you say about the six fingured sandwellians

We still have had the highest attendance home and away

West Brom does come top in one statistic. It's purported to be the highest club above sea-level!

Still clutching at straws perton. Attendances mean nothing, mwhat happens on the pitch means everything.

Wolves have just been promoted from league 1 and congratulations for doing that but Albion are currently outside of the relegation zone in the Premiership. That means at this current time, Albion are better than Wolves. It could all change in 5-10 years but right now Albion lead the way and having higher attendances won't change that.

I like Josh ........he's very studious and really tries not to upset people ! He wouldn't dream off WUMing this site

Three cheers for Josh.....hip hip ?

I’m in two minds about Josh. He obviously has nothing but utter contempt for Puppet – always the sign of an intelligent poster – however he missed a very obvious fact about Albion’s highest attendance this season – the ground wasn’t full.

So does it matter if the capacity is 28,000 or 38,000 or 48,000? If you can only get 26,500 through the gate it doesn’t really matter if you have 1,500 seats unsold or 11,500 or 21,500 you still only managed to sell 26,500.

Josh - Id just like to point out that although The Hawthorns used to have a capacity of 28,003, during the renovations to the Halfords lane some of the seats were taken out to make room for the improved concourse and dugouts. The capacity is now under 27,000. Which by my reckoning, after segregation, makes 26,430 pretty much as high an attendance as we can achieve.

So if the dingles want to wum about attendances then atleast check that it is physically possible for us to attain as high an attendance as they do. I actually respect you for getting 30k in league 1, it is a sign of loyal fans and good support, however if we had an extra 5,000 seats Im sure we would be filling them in the Prem.

I really can't tell if you're both being sincere or not about me but if you are then you are right about me in that I wouldn't dream of wumming people on here. I tried wumming 4 years ago with the forest board and made an idiot of myself. Not everyone can be a natural wum like yourself halfman.

As for your point tatter, was the wolves' highest attendance of the season a sell out?

posted on 17/4/14

I mean was the entire wolves allocation sold out?

I was being sincere Josh ... I can tell your a nice kid, however, you're a Baggie and that's your downfall

posted on 17/4/14

No Josh but it didn’t need to be to prove my point.

We‘ve attracted more fans in Div3 than you have in the Prem and as long as NEITHER ground is full then it isn’t the capacity of the ground that’s capping how many you can get through the gate it’s how many want and are able to pay to attend.

What is amazing, as shown on the scramble for tickets for tomorrows game, is how many are usually held back for players and club staff families, corporate and various favoured hangers-on.
I would estimate around 1,000 at Wolves

To be fair the Baggies fans are really getting behind their team over easter

Don't blame them for that DJ, £56 is an absolutely outrageous. The greed of these clubs who are on £600 mill plus sponsorship / television money is staggering.
Fans of all clubs should unite against this, as they have in Germany.

And fair play to them I say. The only power we have against these robbers is to refuse to let them lift our legs!

Good on ya Throstles.

Wolves meanwhile have sold almost 30,000 for Fridays game. The temp stand is not open but with the North Bank fully operational now it will be the biggest league gate at Molineux since 1981

The BVB faithful feel ticket prices at the Imtech Arena are unfair to visiting supporters, and have planned a protest to make their feelings known about the matter

Borussia Dortmund will have to make do without the support of 1,000 fans for Saturday's game at Hamburg, as they prepare to stage a boycott against high ticket prices.

BUNDESLIGA LATEST

The cheapest available tickets for away supporters are €19, whereas HSV charge €14 for matches against 'lesser' teams, and fans of the Bundesliga champions are unhappy with the price discrimination.

Therefore, a considerable section of 7,000 travelling BVB fans will leave the stadium immediately after the first whistle to express their dismay - a course of action that coach Jurgen Klopp believes benefits no-one.

"It would be a strong action from the fans. However, there are no winners in this scenario," he told reporters.

Tickets for visiting fans at Dortmund start at €15.30, regardless of the opponent

The germans certainly could teach the UK a few things in terms of treating supporters well. Prices are good, safe terracing, and drinking a beer while you watch. And judging from Bayern and Dortmund being in last year's Champions League final, its not as though lower match receipts are holding them back in competing at the highest level. I understand a season ticket for Bayern is only just over £100
