Another typical, unoriginal reply. Like I say, not an original bone in your body.

I see a lot of similarities with us during the Hodgson era however a lot depends on the board at united and the Glazers.

We have owners willing to stick to a long term plan even if it does wind up the fans from time to time.

Personally I don't see united having the heart or conviction to follow through. Mainly due to shareholder pressures.

This is why a football club should never float.

The thing united fans should be most worried about is how their tradition was undermined by the stock exchange.. Plummeting share prices is what sealed moyes fate, twitchy investors pulling their money out because utd lost cl footy.

Obviously you need a high share price to keep the club's value above its mountain of leveraged debt (shouldn't be allowed..) but the very idea that twitchy investors cannot send you towards administration is worrying, as is finally acknowledging who actually owns you and has the power at the club. And you can be damn sure they wont invest money to improve you, just take their profits from the club and cut loose!!

If they get a good manager in, then without Europe and a squad like theirs they should have a good season. Liverpool are proving this already.

Hello, King of Britain Once in a pink moon. I prefer Twitter.

Kneerash... 'we saw the changes with Brendan and were willing to see how it panned out'

Some of us did, not all, me included. Something tells me I have a hat to eat live on JA606 come the end of season! But then Rodgers is astute.

What I'm trying to point out is this:
Way back when, when Ferguson first went to Old Bog the fans wanted him out then but he was given time. Too much as it turned out for everyone else, but it was a different ball game then if you pardon the pun. Now clubs are owned by rich businessmen boys with toys. It doesn't matter what the fans want, if Stretford Ender says they're only that few points off top four, no one pointed that out to the owners. They saw Moyes as a failure and off he popped.

You may very well get your Pep Guardiola or your Ancelotti, but who says they'll do any better? The fact remains the club can't move on from Ferguson. I understand he will help to choose the next successor. Considering he did a great job with Moyes I wouldn't let him anywhere near the decision!

United want to make the Premier League as drab and as boring as the Scottish Prem has become with Celtic winning everything that moves. That trend cannot continue. City are up there, Chelsea are up there, now we are, too. How you won the title last season is beyond me, except to say that it was because Arsenal did their usual floundering trick and Chelsea and City fell at the last few fences. You weren't all that in the latter seasons under Ferguson. In the same breath our defence has been our downfall this season but we've compensated for that at the other end. We've had to work hard to get players to come to us with our poor past showings in the table but we've bagged some gems. You may find if you're out of Europe next season you could have the same problem.
