Moyes is a good manager.

Realistically players at United probably didn't take too kindly to a man who hasn't won trophies telling them what to do

Most United players have just been lazy in our games. Hardly any effort except a few games

Id say Keane was spot on......

I have to agree somewhat, some of the players have played awful and need to share the responsibility.

But Moyes was never going to build a competitive team, everything including team selections, tactics and mentality (when you hear him in interviews) have been awful.

Probably. I got the feeling Moyes was going to have a difficult job with the players from day 1. The general feeling amongst the fans after the appointment was one of being slightly underwhelmed. I'd say it was quite likely some of the players felt this way too and as a result, didn't show him the respect they would've shown, say, Mourinho.

At the same time though, a manager worth his salt would have dealt with that. And everything about Moyes from day 1 just pointed towards him being completely overwhelmed.

So no, the players certainly aren't absolved from blame. But at the same time I don't think Moyes was the right man. I feel for him, i really do, but it was the right decision.

that's exactly what we said about Roy, sometimes it's just the wrong man for the job, Moyes and united will both move on

And for what it's worth, I still think Moyes is a very, very good manager. I just think the United job was a step too far, as it would be for anyone but the very best.

Tottenham though could do a lot worse (no disrespect)

Is this the same roy keane that let us down when he walked out on the republic in the 2002 world cup.

Fine one to talk.

I think any player would have found it hard to motivate himself after a legend like fergie left. I feel sorry for Moyes, he should go to a club like Villa, Newcastle and ply his trade at a club similar to that

A decent manager would have been able to get the players to play for him and the shirt.

Man management is a pre-requisite in football. Moyes I think lost the players. or the primadonna's, and the rest is history.

The next guy in has an enormous task. Lot's of money to spend, an ageing first team . Lots of work to do in a World Cup year.

Could get even messier

If Moyes is one of the best British mangers around then I'm sorry that is a sad reflection of the quality of British managers.

Anyone on this board could have finished 7th with the squad Moyes inherited.

Ask yourself if you actually saw a patter of play to United's tactics.

Were they stronger defensively. I'd argue Hughes and Pulis have shown more enterprise and structure to their approach to management yet you don't see us saying they should be the next Spurs manager.

Moyes is cack...I always thought so and he has confirmed it.

Moyes is a good fit for a club like Everton, that does not suit him for top jobs though

he's a good fit for a club looking to stabilise themselves in upper mid table, obviously a no hoper for a lub looking to go much further than that though

Moyes would'nt last 10 months at Spurs.

Jurgan Klopp has just confirmed he is not interested in taking over the managers job at Man Utd but added his brother Klipity might be interested...
